Doughty and Muzzin combine for 5 points.

Kopi, first point in 10 games.

... But play like this tomorrow and LAK will need miracles from Jones just to stay in the game.

Agreed.

Despite the points, if doughty and kopitars overall games keep looking like they did tonight, time to pack it up.

With doughty at least it's just general stupidity and too many minutes. I know that will get worked out. Still worried about kopitar though.

Carter was looking sharper tonight thoigh

With the win and the Flames loss, the Kings are not only back in playoff position, but all the way up to #3 in the Pacific (well, on pace for it, one point ahead of Calgary). Whew.

Everyone contributed. Richards was with Toff and Pears for a few shifts. Hope they stay with that for a few more games.

That is the kind of roller coster we will say, at least for a good while. Enough to have a heart attack.

I think people forget how bad this team was at certain points last year. In the end, it didn't matter.

The Kings don't care about the regular season. They're just going through the motions.

Sutter has really imprinted himself on this group of players. Darryl flat out says he doesn't care about the regular season, so should we be surprised at how this team is playing?

They care about the regular season, if they didn't Sutter wouldn't have ripped them a new one during the first intermission tonight.

It was a different team that stepped on the ice in the second period.

You have to make the playoff's, that requires effort in the regular season.

what's really hurting the team is Kopitar, he needs to play better.

It's hyperbole.

Of course they care, just not that much relatively speaking.

When you've have 2 cups in 3 years, and have had 3 straight WCF appearances, you're just not gonna be as motivated for relatively meaningless regular season games.

Was at the game tonight. Surprised with the amount of Kings fans in the stands. It was never like this, but that's what happens when you win two cups in three years ;)

Doughty is unbelievable. In my eyes (I'm a little biased) but he is the best defenseman in the league. He does the things that don't show up on the stat sheet; I still don't know how/why people in Ottawa tell me Karlsson is a better defender. Did you see his pass on Kopitar's goal? My God.

The crowd went wild when Bobby Ryan scored that beautiful goal. Then Stone scores shorthanded, and you think the Sens have all the momentum. But that's what makes this Kings team different. This is what Darryl Sutter brought to this team, the resilience to fight through that adversity and handle their emotions properly. Right after the SH goal, we come back in score.

No words can describe Jonathan Quick. He legitimately never ceases to amaze me.

Finally, a win. And **** Jared Cowen, can't believe Dwight got aggressive though.

IF, and it's if every team plays to their potential in the Pacific, it's the Kings vs Ducks to see which team gets to the WCF. Vancouver and Calgary certainly look capable of being spoilers.

No one with a functioning brain wants to trade Kopitar, we're just worried. Yeah, I know they'll make the playoffs and I also know the regular season is a write off, but he's been especially weak. He's on pace for something like 15 goals and 30 assists last I checked. That's terrible. Outside of Carter tonight, he's been absent also. Just gotta keep pushing through though.

Muzzin saved Doughty's butt how many times in that game?

Muzzin was in beast mode tonight.
