I think if Shultz had a garented offer to play nhl mins from any team he would have taken it before he signed the two year two way deal.

Unclear. If another team offered one year at $600k with guaranteed minutes vs the Kings offer of $850k for 2 years, it would be a tough call.

And I'm not convinced anyone would guarantee minutes. They would guarantee a shot to compete for minutes and even provide a 1 way contract (same as the Kings), but I would find it hard to believe anyone would guarantee minutes for a 6th-7th dman.

i wouldn't say mins i would say on the team is more of what i ment. Playing in nhl full time on a bad team vs the ahl kings with the possibility of coming up. I would think he would take the full time job.

If Muzzin wasnt going to play, the Kings would have made a roster move already. No way Sutter is going to voluntarily roll with 5D, thats not his style.

I hope the voynov thing is n't rushing Muzzin back. If Muzzin goes down we are in even more trouble

@ElliottTeaford: Jake Muzzin is a go for tomorrow's game vs. BUF. Cleared by medical staff. Not 100 percent but good enough to play. #LAKings

I'm curious on what were the injuries to Lewis and gaborik are. Gabby hasn't been skating but they said it was an upper body injury. (Oblique ?)

I also wonder if Sutter was mad at the media reporting that Muzzin had a hand injury lol.

I don't understand why coaches are so guarded with the whole injury thing. I think when any player knows another player is coming back from injury, they are going to try and hit them as much as possible. It isn't like someone is going to go "gee.. I wish I knew where to hit him".

Well, that's worrying, imo. Again, especially as we're about to embark on a road trip. Wonder if it was a broken hand or something, just hope it doesn't affect him immensely.

Its not so much hitting, but if you know the guy fractured a finger on his right hand, you can go out of your way to slash him a few times when the ref's not looking. Or if you know a defeseman is coming back from a left ankle sprain, that might influence which side you try to skate by him if you think he won't be able to pivot as well on that ankle.

Im hearing Muzzin is cleared to play tomorrow. Crossing fingers its true. #believe

Alisa, what do you hear about Slava Voynov?

Just kidding. Don't burn your source up. But kudos to you for scooping everyone, and by a couple of hours, even. :)

Well that's not good. I rather he didn't play, don't want it to become a lingering injury.

It is clear that the Voynov matter is affecting the Kings' decision making. Muzzin doesn't play if he's "not 100%." I sent a tweet out to Elliot Teaford to clarify exactly what he meant by "not 100%," see below.

@ElliottTeaford Exactly what does "not 100%" mean? 90% 99? 67? Please clarify, thanks.

There is just so much that can be read into not 100%. It could be he is ready to play but lacking the number of practices that Sutter would like before playing.
I doubt any answer will be given.

@Alex8x6 @LAKings you are correct. Sometime players play when they're not 100%.

It's Buffalo and only October. These 2 points are not going to make or break the season....I'd rather him sit until he is 100%.

Is it me, or does the time between Sunday and tomorrow night's game feel like it's been the offseason? Having serious kings hockey withdrawals....

Go kings. Just dropped money on you in Vegas

Sabres looked absolutely pathetic in tonight's game.

They rushed all five guys all night long. I'm surprised ANA didn't make it to 10 goals, as many chances as they had. The Sabres are entirely reckless in their play.

Should lead to a chances tomorrow night for the Kings. They need to capitalize on them a lot more than the Ducks did...although the score was 4-1, Ducks got two late goals, one an empty netter, but this game was 2-1 up until the 17 minute mark of the 3rd period.
