Visibility wasn’t great but I enjoyed listening to Jim Fitzpatrick.

What did Sim do to earn the game misconduct at the end of period 1?

Good effort all around. Hard to evaluate these games when they go like this but London did what they needed to do. Fourth line worked very hard again.

He said something to the ref I don’t want

Team was still not rolling at 100% missing some short passes and getting communication mixed up at times but managed a very dominant performance.

Once everything clicks we will only have to play a period of hockey to bury teams.

Thought it was interesting that Halttunen was reported by Sudbury as a scratch… is that just a technicality or is that more of a nod that he is coming back to the team?

We should know about Montgomery tomorrow.

I thought the NCAA decision was today?

I’m excited about Montgomery for sure his size and age should be a big plus in the OHL. However for a 19 year old he still has a lot of development left it appears when looking at his stats and scouting reports. I guess I’m saying we may have to be patient with him at first until he gets the “Hunter” mentality engained into his play!

NCAA decision is today but likely won’t have a Knights presser till tomorrow.

He should be equal to Nurmi, it will take some time to get acquainted but will make an impact.

This team is incredible and just keeps improving!

Yes it should take a bit of the season. He’s raw and will need to put on some muscle to his 6’4 frame

For those interested, Alec Leonard took an awkward fall into the boards last night against Sarnia, and went off in obvious distress favouring his arm/ wrist .

We will wait for news, but it sure looked like he will be out long term .

Too bad, he was fitting in on our top D pair, playing a rugged game and Attack fans love his style of play.

Here's hoping he's back in the lineup soon . He's an excellent acquisition.

I can't think of a single deal with the Knights, the Attack hasn't got back a hard working, competitive player, who has made the team better .

PS, proud of our young lineup, after we lost Leonard Arnett took a puck in the face and despite limping through the 3rd with 4 D ( 2 rookies) the Attack put up 3 and won their first game in 8 tries 5-2.
Sam McCue with 2 G.

Hopeful for a quick recovery for Alec! Keep us updated please!

Attack will be a tough playoff matchup for whoever gets them

Too bad about Leonard. In spite of that news, I appreciate interactions like this between opposing fans.

I think London and Owen Sound have a long trading history, probably because they’re of similar mindsets. I can’t recall DeGray ever getting taken advantage of in a trade by Hunter, unlike the IceDogs.

Great to hear Sam McCue is doing well. A lot of people thought Peterborough “won” that trade with Owen Sound last year. My thoughts were - people have not seen McCue enough. Great deal by DeGray.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the season and sorry fellow Knights fans for hijacking the thread.

I can tell you, despite a general anti Knights sentiment around the league ( based mostly on the fact the Knights are the best junior hockey franchise in the world),the Hunters are celebrities.

Last Saturday, the Attack hosted the Spirit, and due to an unusual start time the Knights arrived in time to take in most of the game .

Dale and his coaching staff spent most of the game at the rail, enjoying a bevy with Attack owners Paul MacDermid ( who was team mates with Dale in Washington ) and Bob and Barb Severs.

There was a number of Attack fans who got photos taken with Dale .
Sunday, the Knights drew the largest gate of the season at over 3000, compared to under 2000 last night.

Despite the on ice competition, there is much respect around the league for what the Hunters represent in the hockey world .

FWIW, I maintain the Leafs made a mistake in choosing Dubas over Mark to manage them, if Mark Hunter was in charge, the Leafs would have seen more success.

No doubt about it having the Hunters running the Knights is good for the league.

At the speed they were skating, you bet, they'll miss a lot of passes and that's a sure thing, but they're also quick to pressure and recover the miss passes.

An import to keep an eye on is Noa Halttunnen (brother of Kasper) he’s a 2008 born 5’10 D man. I wonder if he would be considered with our 2025 import pick? 15 points in 15 games in the finish U18 league

Thanks for the posts.

Yeah, we’ve seen Dale after Knights/Sting games having a drink with the Sting regime in their bar/restaurant at centre ice. He’s approachable and down to Earth. Seen him driving around Wortley village in London too. Not sure if he hangs around there still.

We (London fans) are certainly spoiled and I understand why everyone (or almost everyone) hates London.
