I posted this in the Bulldogs forum but thought I'd bring it here too..

I was at the game last night. What a great atmosphere. The gameday staff were all great, the fans were loud overall Brantford put on a great show!
Only small negative even my 12 year old found the music too loud ( and I enjoy loud music )
The video board promos were cool being able to tweet to them and stuff.

Have to add. The more away rinks I visit the more I notice two things.
1. Our in game experience at Bud Gardens is getting boring. (luckily we get a great on ice product)
2. London has to be the Scotiabank Arena of crowds in the OHL. The Bud is like a library unless the scoreboard says scream or the Knights are parading a trophy around..
At least they donnt have "Taz" screaming during the game...and that horrible third period Neil Diamond song. I would pay an extra $5 a game to get rid of those.

Missed the old organ music too, something the millennials have never experienced it either
Hey, maybe you're on to something. They could hire a few old-time organ grinders complete with monkeys & tin cups. The monkeys could sell 50/50 tickets while that organ grinder pumps out "Sweet Caroline" .......nah, maybe a different tune.:dm:

the Wolves are loading up. Wow. They are gifted the Swede they are going to be a handful.

In regards to the game day experience, maybe Ive been to too many games. I do find it getting stale. At least I can enjoy the hockey...

And when the scoreboard says scream it’s just the minor hockey teams screaming as hard and high pitched as they can.

Never sit in the end sections in the 300s.

So Erie and Saginaw this weekend. I expect both games to be tough. Erie is coming off an 8-3 loss to Mississauga. I am assuming they will be coming out the gate pretty fired up.

Saginaw is expected to be one of the best teams in the league and as we all know is the host of the memorial cup. They are having a fairly average start, but they are a very solid team it’s a matter of time before they figure it out

Oh! Saginaw will be there by the big "M" tourney, they are well balance team, and if not they have enough in their system and in draft picks to buy and field another team by deadline. Once they start running a little streak they will be hard to stop IMHO

In Erie their drafting have been light of recent years, they have acquired Gaureau in net but he's solvable the Knight proved that last spring. Nothing really spectacular on defence, their offence is good with Terrance Spence and Misiak, very promising players with a solid supporting cast. The real danger with this Otter team is they are coached by Sam Buttler, never seen any of his team come unprepared and that can cause some danger for any of his opponents, I see them making the playoffs this year

Looking at standings..stats are Erie any good? Good goaltending i know.
The knights have lost to beatable teams before you can't take anyone lightly not to mention Benny Gaudreau is a knights killer in net!

I honestly think the lower bowl has no hands...either that or they're all double fisting beers
I'll take double fisting beers for 500 lol

Well... when you have three -quarters of the "fans", on their cell phones and not watching the game it's hard to know what's going on. I guess it's a sign of the times. It is sad. Saw a guy riding his bike, no hands on handle bars....texting! WOW, that's crazy!

They are a sneaky surprise team with a good goalie. Should be a good game. BG has the ability to steal games

Gaz, but I feel they are quite tied to him.

I'm thinking if Filip Mesar goes back to kitchener might be a trade there for him and maybe rehkopf

O'Reilly Nicholl Gaz 3rd 4th? Does that get close ? Does Mark want to move O'Reilly? 🤔
Only trade O'Reilly if it's a must

Some thoughts on the 1st period..

Knights have a lot of talent across the board, felt like they were dangerous almost every shift, especially their passing.

Sam O'Reilly has gotta be moving up the list of draft eligible players in the O this season. Nice goal to finish off the tic-tac-toe passing play from Bonk/Barkey but what stood out to me was they left him out there for the shift after the goal and he made a sound defensive play to exit the zone. Always like to see draft eligible guys play responsibly on both sides of the puck.

Dickinson had a good shift towards the end of the period, attempted to clear the puck, didn't get out, made sure it did on his second attempt and moved up the ice for a shot from the point.

Nicholl looked decent on the couple of shifts I noticed him.

Probly not from Kitcheners POV.

I've gotta ask....why does Sloanie always look beat up? Two games he looks like he's been hit in the face by a puck and a high stick. Last year looked like he got hit from behind...I know the finance / investment world that he's in is a cut throat business...but dude, is he ok?
