We're having a feeling it will be Willmore against Bowen !Have a feeling its going to be Liam Sztuska vs Michael Simpson Thursday night
Nobody can shenanigan a salary cap like the Leaf's can.It sounds like he's sticking in Toronto temporarily for Salary Cap shenanigans. They need his ELC to max out LTIR space when they put Muzzin and Murray on LTIR. He likely gets sent back to London when they sign Gregor. Shouldn't be much longer.
With the pending signing of Gregor that will be when Cowan is returned. No need to panicPeople are saying cowan will play for toronto tommorow although that could change.
It's kind of a joke at this point. Pretty well every team in the league is trying to game the system somehow whether it being able to spend over the cap or in Arizona's case, how to spend below it. So many teams starting the year with the bare minimum roster to maximize cap and some teams having to play games short handed. It's costing players jobs which is a real shame.Nobody can shenanigan a salary cap like the Leaf's can.
I am still yet to figure this out. I noticed that he had been reposting London's posts on Instagram lately so I'm assuming he is still associated/ practicing with the team. I felt that he had a strong camp and showed good potential as a 16yr old. I feel as though van bommel being a late signing filled the spot that was set aside for Arrowsmith. Anyone know what the rules are around 16yr old American's playing Jr.B in Ontario. If there is nothing stopping him from being sent to the nationals or the stars than I just assume he is injured.Where's Blake Arrowsmith playing this season?
Give the people what they want Bowen vs Simpson! HahaWe're having a feeling it will be Willmore against Bowen !
I feel like we've seen that match up..Give the people what they want Bowen vs Simpson! Haha
Mine would be Simpson,Willmore, SimpsonI feel like we've seen that match up..
In seriousness both those guys are going to do great things for their respective teams.
In a way my preference would be Willmore in that game but I am no OHL ( or minor hockey for that matter ) level coach...
That’s what I’m wondering?! If not where did this all stem from?I'm confused with all the Copeland mentions.
Has he been waived?
Very true lol with that being said I have no idea what is going on with this player.I'd be shocked if London can't convince a GM to give them something for their scraps and are forced to waive a former second round pick.
I mean, I know Mark can't call the Ice Dogs for this one, but surely he can find someone else. Flint has worked in the past...
I really hope Mike Oke swoops in for Juan Copeland. Gotta take a shotVery true lol with that being said I have no idea what is going on with this player.
I think we see this type of lineup moving into the weekend:
Barkey-Cowan-Halttunnen
Gazizov-McCue-O’Reilly
Nicholl-Julien-Crane
Van Bommel-Crane-Boulton
Dickinson-Bonk
Edward-George
Mackinnon-Leonard
Simpson
Willmore
Agreed. I’m always in favour of the kids getting a solid chance in this league.I really hope Mike Oke swoops in for Juan Copeland. Gotta take a shot
Stars already have 2x 16 year olds
If anyone can turn this player around it would be Rob Wilson. He has a track record of taking underperforming players for other teams and turning them into top line players for the Petes. He did it with both Emmett Sproule and Connor Lockhart. In one season with the Petes, Sproule had 86 points after only having 77 points in three seasons with Erie and Lockhart had 79 points in one season with the Petes after only getting 75 points in two seasons with the Otter. It would likely be worthwhile to make a waiver claim for him. However, I am not sure we need another forward at this point as we have a deep lineup.I really hope Mike Oke swoops in for Juan Copeland. That is exactly why I think it makes sense for Peterborough, I think he would fit in well here and could turn things around. We do have a deep lineup but Copeland is a 2005 and we could potentially lose three forwards by the deadline or before (Dubois, Lockhart, Beck), while not mentioning 2004 Quinn Binnie who I believe is easily replaceable. I think this a great opportunity for the Petes to take with Copeland. If anyone can turn this player around it would be Rob Wilson. I agree. With the trade of Owen Beck and if Connor Lockhart is traded I expect the Petes will get two forwards in those deals. Jax Dubois will likely not be traded. I think even with our deep lineup we need to take a chance on Juan Copeland. If he works out he could be a key part of our team next year. That is exactly why I think it makes sense for Peterborough, I think he would fit in well here and could turn things around.
