I swear to god you never hear anything about Julien and then BAM he's the bi-weekly OHL player of the night with 1 goal 3 assists. Buddy is a menace:laugh:

Man oh man, not to beat a dead horse as some have already commented this. But do Sloan and Doyle even watch what’s happening on the ice? So many comments tonight that aren’t even remotely close to what’s happening.
I don’t mind their call of the play by play, but there is just so many mistakes and comments that make no sense. Maybe the casual viewer doesn’t notice, but it bugs me an, avid fan.
I mute the sound when I watch London / Kitchener games, check that, any London games LOL

The amount of soft penalties called in the OHL is insane. Add that to the now 2 TV timeouts and the incredibly long goal reviews and it absolutely kills the flow of the game and can be tough to watch. The other day there was a TV timeout to shovel the ice with 30 seconds left in the period! Let’s use some common sense here!
It's only about getting the advertising commitments in.

At least three games coming up soon providing some opportunity for a player or three to step up with some scoring.
I vote Wooley for big bumper PP guy!

How can anyone hate on this cute little guy:laugh:

Better game last night. Defensively pretty good. Limited opportunities. But need to stay out of the penalty box because that really stalls any offensive flow.
Offensively, not bad. Some good opportunities but a lot of missed ones as well.
WM73 quickly falling down the depth chart, buried on the 4th line. Maybe a change of scenery could help?
Let's continue to see improvement and go fork there.

Even without Nicholl's little cheat the face-offs was good last night, it may not stay that way but it was good for this one game.

Defensively it wasn't great, I know only one goal against they must have been doing some things right, and yes they did but they were not playing the strongest and fastest team last night. Play like this against Saginaw and it's a blow out for sure. The system is there but they need to learned it before it can work properly, sort of learn to walk before running. The zone coverage will be the best defensive formula to use against any fast team, but right now it's in it's infantry and once learned properly they will be able to rush the opponents and apply pressure faster to force mistakes, much the same way when they play one man short. They don't have problem playing shorthanded and are getting chances the other way but that is an special team, put in the whole team playing that same system and you will find success every time. They will be fine IMHO

Gaz has really improved over last year..handling the puck more and skating has improved. Julien really takes advantage of his long reach for puck possession and poke checks. I know Dickinson is young but he will be a better NHLer than the 3 going to Worlds.

lol, for real though! I want to hate the guy but he's so damn cute. Last nights game was a rough go for him and Doyle. Completely out for lunch for the majority of the game. I almost drove down to the bud during that goal review where they called the blatant offside back, but Sloan and Doyle were clueless and going on about goalie interference. You know it's bad when you can call the game better from your couch with a shotty rogers feed, then two guys can with the game played right in front of their faces. Enjoyed the broadcast for many years when Sarnia played London, but it might be time for some fresh blood in the booth.

Sad part is in the background you could hear them announce goal being reviewed for an offside.
But I still listen as it can be entertaining and sometimes be careful what you wish for! For example what we get now in Guelph and Kitchener is a number of steps down from what was once 2 great crews . Carry on.

You're likely at the games so haven't seen this. EVERY time Knights play in Windsor, at intermission they show game 5 highlights from 2010 of Spits beating the Knights for the Western Conference Championship. 13 years ago,,,,,sheesh.....time to move on. Pretty hilarious.

Ya I agree. They do the same for whoever is visiting. Always a repeat of a game that they beat that team, insert name. I find other things to do during the intermission.

This is the first year not at all games so I have seen this.

Calls to trade Will Nicholl are hilarious.

17 year old rookie who wasn’t even healthy to start the year. I’ve been impressed with how hard he competes. Thought he profiled as more of a perimeter one way skilled player. But he has shown more jam and hustle then expected.

The skill stuff will come with time. He has shown those flashes and that is what got him drafted to begin with.
There is no problem with him playing 4th line centre ! Julien centred the 4th line for half of last season.

I've been hearing Sam O'Reilly's name being floated around a lot more recently. Along with Aiden Young and Lincoln Moore in Saginaw

Wasn't that 2009? 2010 is Kitchener, Windsor. Rangers fans get to watch the reverse sweep highlights during intermission. I'm petitioning for rogers to play last years sweep for the next 20 years.

That Ranger sweep will never get old and I don't like the Rangers, but I like Windsor even less.

Yes agreed.

Mark Hunter will want O’Rielly and Nichol (2006’s) around so that the Knights can build around them as soon as Cowan and Barkey are gone. Albeit just for one year, but they will be the weapons upfront in 2 years.

I think Kaeden Johnston is gone come trade deadline though.

Yes, my bad, was 2009. Glad we're not the only fans suffering through those highlights! Like your idea for Rogers to do the same :thumbu:
