With his size he didn't need his stick at Parekh's neck, that's for sure, to place it into context, he'd just saw Parekh himself going after Bonk's head not even second before. The quick reaction got the best him for sure, if you want to help your team, you have got to play smart just the same
5-7 games?

The league itself is to blame for the conspiracies imo. At this point in the playoffs there is ample evidence to support the notion that saginaw is being treated differently on and off the ice.
Could be. I don't know. Didn't see enough of Saginaws games this year.
But its still something ya gotta play thru to win.
It is too bad announcers n officials are dominating the thread. But props to all for the passion.

In your avatar, Thats the Deproit Olympics and the Montreal Senior Canadiens, I see Maurice Richard... who's is the guy circled?
No, it is not, it is Val dOr Olympic old timers versus, yes, NHL Old Timers Altars(Homelite). I was the only young lad on the Val d'Or team, born and raised in Val d'Or I was there with some friends recuparating and training from my 4th hip operation(at London Unniversity H)is also how and where I met my wife, and was invited to join in (as 23 yr old on one leg I guess with a metal hip brace and all) in 1976. Maurice Richard was pulled out of his refering tour to play for that one game. That's me with a circle around my face second from left (second row). just ahead of me is former speedster Chicago Black Hawk and Detroit Red Wing Pete (Pit) Morin and beside him is Montreal GM at the time Sam Pollock, further down on first row is Maurice Richard his best friend at his wedding is Val d'Or goalie Delphis Franche. Behind me third row 3rd from the left, is former London Knights coach and Boston Briuins sensation Bep Guidolin. Val d'Or captain was fred Nolet, former WHA player and older brother to Simon Nolet of the Kansas City Scouts.

Best 2 days of my life, the next morning we all met up for brunch at the Dix Hotel in Val d'Or and I sat down with the best story teller of all time, Mr, Red Storey(Fmr NHL referee) himself and very funny guy, Val Fountain(DET) and Jean Guy Talbot(Mon). You'd might say I was with among some of the very bests.. To answer you again, no it was not Detroit Olympics. I am not going to say my name, I like this to stay private, only one poster in here actually met me and knows my name. I like to keep my name private, I will not disclose this posters name, he is a good man and I trust him to not revealed mine. I'll just say, as you all already know:)laugh:) playing without a helmet in my younger years did not improve my brain's ability to function. 🤣!'Played a total of 75 games in QMJHL for Sorel Black Hawks, Sherbrooke Castors and Montreal Bleu Blanc Rouge where I had my major injury to my hip, yes that was the same franchise that played in the O, Montreal Jr Canadiens, the name was sold to Kingston but the franchise stayed in Verdun QC.. Not wanting to accept my condition and wanting to keep the dream alive, I tried to play IHL hockey in Toledo, Lansing and Ft Wayne, also had 3 years of Ontario Sernior A with Cambridge and Preston and another four with the Blues in Aylmer. Now you all know about my 71 yr life, I'll be 71 in two weeks. I like to fish and I like a cool beer as well.. It's a long story but you did ask about that Olympic team, I just happened to be a member of it.

Seriously?
Have Barrie, NB, Oshawa, SSM been treated differently too? I doubt those in charge of the league are good enough to give Oshawa & Saginaw & SSM breaks without leaving open the possibility of unfair competition charges.

Whatever Sim said to get tossed landed him a 5 game suspension. Maybe he said something about the officials wives?

It's almost like after the stupidity by Boulton that the league said enough is enough, clamp down. We'll see if the Knights can adjust. I'm confident they can, but they need to play between whistles and not be cavalier after the play is stopped.
This is a crock of crap. I'm not saying that London did not deserve the calls they received minus a few but there were TONS of calls missed by the officials. Never seen it so obvious that the refs had an agenda.

If u think this is to the shoulder take off the green colored glasses. He was fine to retaliate but the cross check is so unnecessary & dirty. Especially coming off a 5 game SSPD.

London is the best team in the league..that 3rd period was not pretty to watch. They had 0 interest in playing the game anymore. Can only imagine if S. Boulton were in what would've happened.

Have no rooting interest just wanna watch a great series which it's been outside that period. Best of luck the rest of the way 🍻

I thought it was shoulder at first and posted that on here....then rewatched and retracted my comments. Stupid play by Lawrence and deserving of the call.

Don't know if this is true or not

It was two players just talking during a faceoff. So he said something to a player not any official. While Papa Hache may not be doing the disciplining he is STILL the boss of the people that are so their is subliminal influence involved and it shows.

100% true but the ref down low can have a word with the other ref to call it off. It's been done many times.
You nailed it..Faist waived the penalty off below the line. And made no attempt to talk to Monette to tell him what he saw, very amateurish. They stood at the tablet all night yet when they should have looked at the tablet they did not.

Really need to beat them sunday. Show them no mercy on the scoreboard. And hopefully they don't win the Memorial cup

I think we need to watch it again, the stick is up to the neck, for sure it's a penalty for sure, but is it 5 minute and 5 games? You go and forcefully dish out a high hit to someone, you will see the body bend in half, not the knees. Common, knees bent so not to hurt himself and dropped straight down to the ice like a bag of potatoe(?)
