Sorry I have to jump in here but no one on the Kitchener boards thinks we were big and bad by a long shot. I mean, we were big. But soft. We were easily intimidated, rarely used our size to our advantage (Schmidt) except for the occasion or 2. And we were slow but that is another story.

That kid is a playoff performer. Winterton has been unreal. Who else is happy we traded for him, Diaco and Humphrey?

First period of game 5 was in my opinion the series turning point.
Sarnia came out flying and was all over London from faceoff they badly outplayed the Knights and had advantage in shots (15 to 5) and chances but London wouldn't break, putting Sarnia down 1-0 after that period. That had to be deflating for them, they came with confidence after tying the series at home and a big 6-3 victory game 4, their expectation were high.
Very hard to defend against a team that has four strong rolling lines three equally strong pairs of Ds and the very best in goaltender in Brochu and top rookie draft contender in Bowen. Name any player on this team and you won't be wrong !!!

Can't leave Barks out of that equation. Key goals at key times and quietly sits one point behind Winterton and McGurn for the team lead in scoring!
Imagine if Winterton (like a father to the twins) could somehow fall back into our laps again next season! That, and six returning D! How could we not be favourites going in?!

Amazing tandem! Bowen is learning from one of the best Knights goalies and he will only continue to improve for next season! Also so clutch winning it in game 6 in sarnia! Awesome work Zach!
I gotta think Winterton is AHL next year…. Only thing he hasn’t proven is sustained health over a season

It was actually 2 but Im just splitting hairs. In long run, most Sting posters are,alright. Every board is the same in that regard, well, almost evrry board (cough, cough, end of 401).

Congrats London!! Great coaching. Steady Defence. Balance scoring. Winterton, Barkey and George stepped up their game in this series. I give Bowen credit handling of the puck has improved and look forward to him maturing over the next two years. Fantastic Year!!
