Criticism is one thing...spouting drivel every chance you get is another. Respect is earned sonHate anyone who dares to make criticisms?
No. It's 100% percent criticism. You just can't handle anyone pointing out flaws of certain players and management. Wouldn't be suprised to lose 4 straight since we don't have a good backup. If you want to win championships, then you have to have 2 very good goalies. This is just a repeat of last year when brochu got injuredCriticism is one thing...spouting drivel every chance you get is another. Respect is earned son
Son...I've seen more junior hockey than you will ever dream of seeing and have offered more criticism in my sleep. Valid points earn you respect. So you are ok with a barely 900% save percentage goalie? That percentage is not going to cut it anywhere. #1 priority in the off-season should be to look for a goalie.Son...I've seen more junior hockey than you will ever dream of seeing and have offered more criticism in my sleep. In Jr hockey save pct is an over rated stat. I've seen goalies make 5 saves on a flurry and only register 1 shot on goal. Gaudreau's career save pct is under. 900 and he wore a Team Canada jersey. Again..want respect..tidy up your notesSo you are ok with a barely 900% save percentage goalie? Impressive stats in the playoffs............. against inferior competition. In the regular season he ranked 4th-ish. Is he a great goalie? Yes. Is he the second coming of christ like some Knights fans make him out to be? Nah. I think Bowen has a higher ceiling. Brochu is injury proned, he's performed to his ceiling and that is evident even to him as he realized his career was likely done after the re-injury. I feel bad for the kid, and also.... 90% of these kids need to have a plan other than hockey.Obviously haven't been watching the playoffs. Hockey gods cursed him for his hubris, playing godlike. He's proven his worth throughout his OHL career.
I think Knights fans are simply acknowledging correctly his value to the team, especially in this playoffs, nothing more. And not just London fans, Voit too in an interview. Sarnia hardly weak opposition. London fans, I would think, who have seen him play for the last 4, 5 years might be in a better position to assess his worth.Impressive stats in the playoffs............. against inferior competition. Speaking for myself, I get tired of you disappearing from this board when London is winning and only making your appearance with critisms when the Knights are behind or losing. You are entitled to your opinion but FF$ back them up with some thoughtfulness rather than emotion. Lots of Knights posters make critical observations and most back them up. You appear, drop some bombs then disappear as soon as London goes ahead. I recall Bowen went something like 13-1 during the season. Not second rate imo. The kid hasn't played in awhile so he is likely going to be rusty. I think that is more on the coaching staff who did not get him into a game rather than on him. Game isn't over yet.Hate anyone who dares to make criticisms?
I was referring to the opposition in the first two rounds which factored into the stats. Sarnia are definitely the favourites this series Brochu or not. And nothing wrong with loving or backing your goalie. No asterisk is all I'm calling. Enjoy!!!!I think Knights fans are simply acknowledging correctly his value to the team, especially in this playoffs, nothing more. And not just London fans, Voit too in an interview. That said. There are still dicks in every crowdI gotta say, Sarnia Sting fans are some of the best in the league. I’ve had some great chats tonight, been welcomed by many. A far cry from a Kitchener experience. Super passionate knowledgeable fans and so many jerseys in the crowd. A+ Sarnia
Bowen, great numbers this season in his rookie campaign. Having said that, he needs to be better if the Knights are going to advance. Goal 4...slid out of position, Goal 5, weak.Bowen at fault on the 4th goal. That said the team in front of him has let him down tonight.
Also, I don't recall Terry Doyle being this much of a Homer, like ever.
They have certainly figured it out tonight. Short turnaround until tomorrow nights game. Knights need to get back to their strengths - speed, defensiveness and limiting chances. Credit to Sarnia tonight. They are a good team and have played well tonight.Everytime we get a goal, sarnia gets 1 back. Looks like they figured out how to beat the Knights which doesn't bode well for the series. Sv % for us: .864
When you're eating wings at the local pub most seasons this time of year...not many people see your true colorsBowen at fault on the 4th goal. That said the team in front of him has let him down tonight.

Brochu wasn't winning that game either...it's a team sport that requires a team effort. It wasn't there tonight. They could have both Brochu and Bowen out thereSarnia played exactly as expected and took advantage of a shaky goaltending situation. Credit to Bowen for sticking it out even though he was fighting the puck all night. IMO 3 weak goals, 1 iffy and 1 he had no chance. D didn't help him much tonight either. Shake it off and come out strong tomorrow. Stay disciplined and stick to the game plan.
Sometimes yer the shit...sometimes yer the paperNot their best effort tonight, that’s for sure. Looked very uninterested right off the hop and didn’t have the GAF needed tonight, the D also wasn’t as sharp as they have been all playoffs. Left Bowen out to dry several times, But Bowen also has to be better if they are going to win this series. I think at least 3 of the 5 he should have had, if Brochu is in there, might be a different outcome tonight as he can cover up some team mistakes.
Move on to tomorrow, come out with a better effort and sharpen up on D.
I'd tend to disagree. Brochu stops 3 of those goals. Like another member said, the whole team had a letdown tonight from Goalie on out. D should have done more to protect Bowen and get him into a bit of a groove. Unfortunately the 1st goal was a bit of a deflater for the team.Brochu wasn't winning that game either...it's a team sport that requires a team effort. It wasn't there tonight.
