The only thing that scares me with Bowen is that he always manages to allow 1 sometimes 2 somewhat cheesy goals every now and again in games. With that being said, he came in during game 2 cold and put on a solid showing. It sounds like the boys are confident in him to get the job done.

I am also not too sure what it is with "Benny" but I swear he has a vision problem. He really fights shots from above the circles going to his glove side, he almost just knocks them down rather than actually "snagging" the puck. It has been going on most of this season. Will be interested to see if any of the Knights staff has picked up on this.
There seems to be a ton of posters on here thinking Bowen will step right in and continue where Brochu left off and he very will might. He has had several great games this year.

But I am more with you and on the nervous as hell with him in net side for this exact reason. His rebound control has also been horrible at times. Granted it was in a cold relief role, but the first shot he faced on Sunday was a rebound directly in the slot. I am going in hoping for the best, but very nervous without Brochu in there. I hope after tonight, my nerves are gone and Knights have a 3-0 lead!

As for "Benny", he makes some incredible saves. But that is because he puts himself in bad situations from time to time. Like you said, not catching a puck that should be caught and creating more work for himself. He also tends to get himself out of postion, which then leads to him having to make those incredible desperation saves, which look great. But if a goalie is making those saves consistently, it is because they are doing something wrong, however, good for him to recover and make those saves. But if London can bury those chances he gives them, they will put up lots of goals.

Brochu will be back in this series, he may sit game 3 and be back for game 4 in Sarnia. I liked the way he skated out on his own.
Certainly hope so! Not being negative, ( especially with the things I'm going through), positivity all the way! Just a thought, if Mr. Brochu is not able to lace them up again this year...I'm hoping this injury does not impede is pro career be it in N.A. or Europe. Far too good of a goalie to not be making pro $$$$$$$$$. Hoping to see Mr. Brochu on the ice this series too squash those fears. Did anyone else notice how often Sloanie said, " I believe it did...I don't know... I'm thinkin... not sure", actually it was funny . Leigh Cunningham can you come back please. It has been awhile lol. Too bad we can't sync Stubbsy to the T.V.. Those two are top notch play by play announcers two of the best! GO KNIGHT'S GO!!!!

I get that my post has upset some people as you can’t say anything negative about any Knight without drawing the ire of some of the faithful…but my question would be, why doesn’t this happen to more goalies throughout hockey? Pro, semi-pro, juniors. Freak accidents happen but two non contact injuries? Usually the average person get these injuries when they are out of shape, and In this case he is NOT out of shape but perhaps conditioning comes into question. If you’d rather believe it’s bad luck, that’s fine.
You blamed Brochu for getting hurt!!!!! I didn't respond to your original post because it was total bs. Be better then that!

The 18 skaters gotta play their game. Can't get overly focused on protecting the house with Bowen in, Brochu out.
Play the same way.
I doubt with either tender in net your going to keep to the Sting 1 G per. Might take 4 or 5 GF to win tonight.

Would be nice if our fan base had that same confidence. I truly don't know what the kid needs to do to get the respect he deserves on this forum
It's not that we don't have confidence, it's that BB30 was playing lights out and we need every single player playing at their highest level. Bowen hasn't seen action in over a month so we can't expect him to shake off the rust and come in and play to Brochus level which is what we need to win this series. Playing an offensive team like Sarnia we need our Goalie to make the saves that keep us in the game. Bowen is not there right now, unfortunately. Maybe this game will get him back in the groove but I'm expecting some major struggles tonight.

Hard to play defense lying on your belly

Had a feeling that strategy was gonna bite us in the a$$ at some point....too predictable, and I'm sure the Sting have been working on that play a lot in practise. At least lay on your side and make the passer saucer it higher.

You missed the context, but ok. Go Knights go! everything is awesome!

Bowens rebound control has been shaky. Credit Sarnia for pushing the pace and being physical. They’re treating this like do or die and it shows. That said we’ve had good chances, and of course we’ve hit a post already.
And the roast beef sandwiches here are fantastic :)

Not sure if bowen will be our future goalie. He hasn't seen action in over a month, but his save percentage is terrible. Defense non existent tonight along with too many penalties. How long will it take for them to learn
