The bare minimum should have been to at least take a look at it. IF it is determined that it is too difficult to see, so be it, I am ok with that. But to not take a look at it seems pretty irresponsible and to be honest, rather arrogant.
I to was "stunned" (pardon the pun) much like the Attack player that it did not at least warrant a review? I personally believe it was a solid body check dished out with perfect timing. As you referenced the game has changed but in the "ole days" that was a high five worthy hit. I don't think the replay ever backed up far enough but the only thing I was looking for was a potential charge on the way in? Sincerely hoping the Attack player is OK, I get concerned that the need to remove the dangers of head contact is perhaps giving today's players a false sense of security on the ice? Again fingers crossed he is not injured, he is a big part of that teams good fortunes and ability to win.

The Attack player returned to the game after spending some time in the room. I don't believe he had another shift, but the OT winner was scored shortly after he returned. I believe all signs point to the player being okay physically, which is good to see.

For whatever reason when the game went to overtime even though it felt a bit unfair I never really had a doubt. Remember this team once they got rolling won a "boatload" of games in OT and tight games.
Not a real lover of the Attack coach as I thought the pre game preparation of his team has been horrendous BUT you do have to give it to him on bringing back his Goaltender for Game 2. Kid played so well and if not for him in the second period especially it would have been another blow out for the Knights.

He may have simply wanted to finish the game on the bench with his teammates, without actually having any intention of playing.

I guess we'll see on Tuesday...

Agree on Gazizov being improved (most improved not) Cowan. Take the good with the bad with Gaz. One of the top passer on the team, on the PP has good eyes for setting up open guy. He's soft rarely wins any puck battles and all his penalties are slashes or trips after he gets beaten. Give Hunter credit for using him in the best situations.
Let me ask you; Was there anytime last season that made you think Cowan's play was not going to take him anywhere, was there any doubt about him or Barkey? Now look at Gazizov of last year did you think he had it in him to do good things this year, personally I wasn't seeing it in him, his transition is undeniable this season and are we not seeing so much of Stranges style in him now?

I'm a huge Cowan fan; future looking bright with Cowan and Barkey as the "next ones" up front. Then there's Dickinson, Bonk, and George patrolling the blue line for the next few seasons (2 or 3).
Bowen in net.
Adding scoring will be the priority in the off-season. Enough talk of next year... Still enjoying this season.

Late to the party here just a few notes,

Looks as if playoff McCue is back in business. He has had all 18 Owen Sound skater yapping at him now for two full games. If they are yapping at you they are forgetting how to play hockey, that is his job and he is damn good at it. AS long as he can keep himself out of the box for the most part he is a going to be a valuable asset to this run.

Mailloux has a great shot, but it takes him so long to cock that snapper that it gets blocked 95 percent of the time. I would rather see him keep it simple here and work on getting pucks to the net more that going for power every shot.

Diaco got first star but had one of his worst games recently. He had that awful giveaway that helped the Attack get within one, but like a true leader he went right to his goalie and owned up and apologized which was great to see. Then of course he made up for it with his patience in OT, he was not on my star list for the night but he ended up sending us home happy so what can you say!

Greg Walters is just not a good coach, at some point he has to settle his team down and get them to play some hockey because there is some talent on the other side of the puck. He was constantly blaming the officials because of stupid plays his players would make, he seemed to almost en-cite his team into all the extra curricular crap they were continously doing.

Looking forward to tonight's game. It'll be interesting to see if last change has an effect on each lines effectiveness. Esp. the line of 70/90/29 who I thought strung together a bunch of solid shifts keeping pucks in the Sound D zone.
Keep using the overall team speed adv. and keep it simple. Chances should come.
