Who’s the captain next year? Barkey? Cowan? McCue? George? Dickinson? Humphrey?
If Humphrey is back he's my man for sure for "C", George an "A" and Bunk an "A" and one of the twins Cowan or Barkey as "A" if there is a co-captaincy I'd go with Bunk as co-captain with Humphrey and bring up McCue as the other "A"

#21 ="C" or "co-C"
#59 = "A" or if they go "co-C" He's your captain of future along with Dickinson
#4 = "A"
#86 or #7 = "A"
#39 = "A" if they go with co-captaincy

Of course it's always best for players to have their say!

Captains should lead by example, and as much as I like Humphrey, I prefer a captain that's a little more disciplined, in control...if you know what I mean. Bonk perhaps although I'd have to give it more thought.

Humphrey will be more discipline with extra responsibility. Players have the act to take the extra responsibility more serious, I am convince Humphrey would be one of them. But then again we are so far from dressing room interaction to know who are best leaders. That's why it's best to have players and management to pick them out.

You are going to say I am crazy, many do, but I see Humphrey as a 25 to 35 goals scoring man as an overager if he comes back.

I don't think it would be crazy to say Humphrey will score 25-35 as an OA, in fact I would say as an OA I would expect at least that from him. He scored 25 for Hamilton in 2021/22, so being that much older in the league and full year with the team, I think that production would be expected.

For Captaincy though, I don't think Humphrey is the right fit. Could see him wearing an A, but too undisciplined and chirpy in my opinion for the C.

For the C as of right now, of course all off-season to go. But a guy I wouldn't mind wearing the C is Dickinson, he already seemed to be a bit of a leader in the room at 16 and while 17 is a young captain, especially for London. I think it would be awesome to give him a shot at a several season captaincy. I also have a prefrence for a DMan captain, just feel like they can lead better by example back there, blocking shots, clearing bodies etc.

I know what you are saying, good replied, making a lot of sense as well. It all depends on the player's character, Like most everyone I too can only base my comment from afar since we are not in up close to see all the team interaction. From what I am seeing from my angle I would have whole lot of confidence in him, time will tell.

One of the very best captain for the Knights led the league in penalties minutes and fights one year, it never detoured him from leading the team as captain, his name was Brad Marsh, perhaps you heard of him !!!

You may have heard what sounded like a collective sigh Sunday evening around 10ish PM. The was just many of the OHLs 19 franchises fans breathing again with London eliminated :) The strongest relief coming from the West, down the 401 ;) I was really concerned with the Windsor board getting increasingly quiet as the POs rolled on but it's picked up again.
It's a badhe of honour lol.

Glad a storied OHL franchise in the Petes will represent the O. Very opportunistic and resilient group.

For sure, but when Brad Marsh played. It was a little different era in hockey, fighting and penalties were expected and that is how leadership was shown.

Danny Bois was also a great captain, who would fall into that category, little more recent then Marsh. But hockey, certainly the OHL has changed since then.

Don't get me wrong, I love those type of players and based on some interviews I have heard. Humphrey sounds like a very well liked guy in the room. So it could certainly happen, depending on how the team decides. Whether they leave it up to strictly a player vote or if they have the coaches weigh in as well. Like you said, we are far away from the walls of the dressing room, just a bunch of fans chatting.

Y’know….for as much s**t as London fans take….and yes, I know there are some of “those” fans. Here. In the arena. Other social media. Just like every other team has…but there’s been very little whining, complaining and excuse making about losing your DECORATED starting goalie here. I mean, I know it affected things and it’s been stated but for all the crap this board takes from people on other threads who would be mentioning, blaming, twisting and justifying a playoff loss because of an injured goalie….just sayin.

Captain Schmaptain :)

Why no love for McC or George if ta gotta make a pick now. To me it's a non issue, always has been.

Who wore the letters in 2005, 2016? Quick without looking it up??????
And then look at the others on those teams that were also known as leaders in the room.

How about a compromise. The city can pony up to improve the Knights dressing room space and other on site facilities and the Knights and Lightning can pony up for a new videoboard ( the Aud is a good example )

I understand the Lightning don't have the resources the knights do but they will enjoy the benefit of it so some sort of token contribution would be nice..

Food, Ovation extended thru 2051. WTF, it's crap now and they wanna extend it for 25+ years. I'm not even going to read the rest lol. (started with last paragraph) With a huge majority of tics seasons tic holders the standard walk up food choices would help themselves greatly by offering quality to increase revenue other than the cheapest crap the can offer which most avoid. ( outside of wobbly pops)
Sure the novelty crowd n kids get their dogs or a cardboard slice of Za but as a season holder there isn't that draw for garbage. Heck I'd go early every game to waymtch warm ups if I could grab a quality bite. ( the pop stands aren't by but pricey due to the lease agreements
...that's why they flip over so often)
JMO, which is worth diddly do.

I'd have to agree. Get some better food and drink options. The food on the concourse is crap.

Not sure that would be my choice ( they never contact me on these things) but I would have been in the Dickenson camp on this one. Carry on.

I'm sure a bunch of LK fans may agree.

Dickinson will be the more accomplished OHLer and better pro prospect......but Bonk being a year older played a bigger role thru the "entirety" of the year. It got closer as the year progressed and POs started for sure.
Bonk will go late 1st, early 2nd rd in draft this year...Dickinson, I expect goes higher next year than Bonk does this year.
No biggie, just a pat on the back whoever gets it. Just glad we got both for a couple more years along with George for 1 more at least.
Bonk probly had a more positive effect thru 68 reg season games. Thou Dickonsons potential and play is very, very impressive for a 16yr old. And I rarely throw that out there. Last one I did with was R Thomas.
A solid year for a handful of 16 yr old D in the OHL. ( Spirs got 1 also as you know )

Also, Ovation is owned by Oakview, who also owns Spectrum (now called OVG360). Bit too incestuous for my liking, extending the contract to 2051, without putting it out for tender??? Or am I missing something?

Well we know it's locked in now. The company pays itself to lease the space.....oh well, dinner at home or at a local independent pre or post game.

Never understood how I can get a great dawg or sausage on the side of the street or Crappy tire but only a crap dawg or a cardboard slice of Pizza pizza at an arena lol.
Miss the popcorn at the old Gardens. Tried it once at the Bud ( JLC) and gave up on it.
