Federkow was already most likely to be moved. He's the kind of player who will go through a brick wall for his team. There's just simply no room for him at this point.

Now, with the addition of Bruzer....MacKinnon could also be in danger of having to be moved. It will all depend on how quickly Fagan and/or Bruzer make him expendable. I haven't seen Bruzer play yet, but Fagan was all over the ice. The Hunters will need time to reign him in.

I would expect Fagan to begin the year with the Stars/Nationals and Bruzer as 7th D. If either progresses well (and everyone else stays healthy) look for MacKinnon being moved, perhaps in favour of an overage forward (or goaltender).

From what I witnessed in camp....Willmore looks to be the front runner at this point. Bowen still looks like he hasn't regained the confidence he lost during last year's playoffs....but, that could change rather quickly. I'm just not sure either has the makings of a championship calibre goaltender. Hopefully, they can prove me wrong!
HB (if he signs) will get in some games ( he won’t be in B) so agreed he’s either the 6 or 7 D

Btw what teams are even looking for OAs?

How’s everyone feeling about our goalie situation?

Do they usually stream the game from sarnia.

Disappointed that we traded levin. Would've traded paris/ johnston before him. Oh well... hopefully they can prove me wrong 😔

Connor Federkow gets to go home to St Catharines along with Mike Levin.

Good trade for both teams!

Happy for both Connor and Mike to get an opportunity to get some PT! Awesome

Agreed he is a beauty! Could have a good season, but a bit of a logjam up front

He was never gonna crack the top 6 which is what he needs to flourish with his scoring and playing style. Mark did him well and hopefully he can flourish with Niagara.

Think Stuart Rolofs. How much he flourished not being behind a deep lineup of forwards.

Do we have a logjam on the backend?

Capable D:
Dickinson, Bonk, Edward, George, Macinnon, Leonard, Fagen, HB, Wolley any one else?

I wouldn't call it a log jam but there are enough OHL D men for sure with Fagen and Wooley most likely off to JR B to polish their craft and be ready when called upon

Don't you think Wooley should be given PT or traded for his sake ( 17 yr old Dman)

why would anyone trade for woolley? hes never played in the ohl and im sure teams have players just as good as him that they cut.

teams already have 8 or 9 defenceman signed right now, why would they bring him on?

I gotta think he would crack a few teams top 6D. I could be wrong.....I just think he's a solid 17yr old D with a good future in this league

like who? every ohl team has 7 or 8 defenceman signed, some have 10. there are teams who are waiving guys with experience right now, you can get someone who is an 05 and has played, or an 06 who is a question mark and hasnt played above u18? if he was any good, mark would have signed him and tried to flip him. whats the difference between him and someone like nathan schaap?

True enough! So our 6D are set, but who does HB bump?

So I haven't seen him play but let's assume he is good to plug into the lineup I think it depends a alot on the OA situation. They obviously prioritize giving kids an opportunity but you can't deplete your depth either. How's that for a long I don't know what I'd do lol

EDIT: So basing my opinion on OHL4Life's assessment I stand by my Jr B and polish up theory,

hes not
He’s still a 1st rounder lol… I’m assuming he’ll want some PT if he does sign…. Maybe that’s the holdup for him signing
they wouldnt have traded for him if he wasnt going to sign, and im sure the kid knows he needs to start as a 7, mark tells kids and agents they they dont play right away. hes very honest, ive head him tell agents that. dale loves the quote 'a year older a year better', and mark tells agents that.

Look at Testa last season....he was in and out of the lineup. HB will get his opportunities when another D is injured/suspended/sick/etc., but he may have to bide his time.

Speaking of injuries, what's up with MacKinnon? Anybody know?

If HB (or Fagan) improve enough over the course of the season, MacKinnon could be moved at the deadline (or sooner, barring injuries).

Henry is signed.
When? Did they sign anyone else from camp?

What’s the depth chart of our D ? Where does Mackinnon rank? I would assume he’s 5th behind Bonk, Dickinson, Edward and George….

you, thats what they do, drafting moore was smart, they can avoid the sit at 16 dance and get him there at 18 for a year or two. ive heard moore may go to harvard but with london taking him i can see him coming after the nhl draft.

i assume that fagan will be in waterloo, his agent is involved with the team
