Ya but, Niagara beat Sarnia two years ago when the Bees where ranked number two in the nation. In all accounts the NiceDogs will now win the Stanley Cup.

This is so confusing. Lol
Sarnia could go 68-0 in the regular season .. they would still lose in the first round .. they don't count

The past road trip had a “this could go real good OR real bad”. Me personally it was kind of meh. Confidence and our younger team are essential they needed the 2 points clean coming out of Barrie and they would have been high flying. They have 2 months to go lots of time to gel and don’t forget it is hard to gel when your best forward (Formenton) is out. I like Raymakers compete and nasty edge but he needs to control it as he gets distracted and forgets he is not the team enforcer BUT needs to stop the damn puck!

I’d love to see the Knights sign Keighan Gerrie this summer. (12th Rd pick in 2017)

He was the rookie of the year in the SIJHL last year, and currently has 53 points (26 and 27) in 29 games for the Thunder Bay North Stars.

He’s ranked 140 among North American skaters in the midterm rankings. (Ahead of Moskal and Dunkley)

He’s a small winger who can fly, and clearly knows how to put the puck in the net.

He seems to have an agreement to play in the NAHL next year with the Minnesota Wilderness. However, stranger things have happened.

Agree with most of your post but I do have a little problem with the "hard to gel part when Formenton is not in the lineup". It's always harder to gel a team when you may have some disgruntled players upset for not playing enough and then you have your best player coming back eating a whole bunch more minutes. I think Dale and his staffs have quite the balancing act on their hands trying to make these players a happy gelling bunch of hockey players. IMHO

I know Dale likes to play the vets on the power play, but a little bit of Stranges is adding some creativity !!!!! Power play is so predictable. Very frustrating when the power play sucks. I know Lochead has scored goals on PP, but we need players to be able to move the puck, create chances!!!!!!

Totally surprised he was ranked that high, but he was someone I have been saying would be good enough to graduate to the Knights for a while.

Start nailing some butts to the bench. Doesn't matter who it is, star or not ,poor play equals riding the pine. Then bag skate them next day at practice. Time to send a message.

I think losing 2 games to the 7th seed and 9th seed in the East will send enough of a message. It'll be loud and clear

Yes, there are times when leaders must pick their team up and lead the way, coaches can only do so much teaching the techniques and the professionalism of the game. They are very busy with players and don't have time with the cheer leading part of all players on the team

Are you disappointed in the play of Evangelista 1 point in his limited ice time of 19 games ?

Also the limited ice time of Panwar who has 7 points in 19 games ?

then they probably should have been on B cards and practiced with the Knights all year

Panwar has looked terrific in his limited action. Very excited to watch his progression.
Evangelista, not as good but he needs to get stronger. He’ll be a good one too but it may take a bit longer.

Draft site says He needs to bulk up in order be tougher along the boards and in battles for pucks.

Is this a strong draft ? Maybe that's why he is rated where he is.

It’s supposed to be a weak draft.

That ranking would have him in the mid-2nd round...no chance of that happening. He’s a first round lock according to just about every other scouting agency

In agreement that hard work follows efforts that fall below expectations. Can’t forget though the weekend before we were awesome with great results against stiff competition. This past weekend they looked like a young team believing in the press clippings and forgetting what makes them so good, hard work and their skating ability. I guess what I am saying is the overall picture is what matters and at this point they have generally produced very solid reults. The boys will bounce back nicely like pretty much every Hunter coached and assembled teams do!
