Off topic here. I put on site that I had a game worn Steve Rawski Spiderman Knight's game worn jersey that I wore to Ottawa game. I was contacted to see if I would sell it and lo and behold the guy that wanted it was Steve Rawski himself. I had acquired it at a Children's Miracle Network fundraiser during 1999-2000 season and until the Ottawa game it had set in my closet. Steve came up from Hamilton area last Friday and we went for lunch and I gave him the sweater. He was really excited to get it as he was drafted here and then traded away. Funny I only bought it to help raise money for CMN which made me happy at the time and now I am really happy I got to help Steve out and my old woman is happy because there is one less jersey in closet.

This is a nice post. So much of what gets said in these forums involves people sniping at each other - it's refreshing to read a "feel good" post for once!

Alex Formenton closes in on injury return for Knights..........Pyette
He’s not quite back to “McDavid-like” speed yet, but Alex Formenton has been on skates for nearly a week now.
Soon, those post-injury baby steps in Ottawa will ramp up to full throttle for the Knights at Budweiser Gardens.
“It’s feeling pretty good,” the 19-year-old Senators prospect said Monday from the nation’s capital. “The first couple have been trying to get my legs back under me. I’ve been off for pretty much a month now. You see how it feels and as time goes on, the skates have been getting tougher. I’m still working on stickhandling and shooting and trying to stay as close to game shape as I can while I get prepared here.
“It’s kind of week to week and depends on how well it’s coming along. It just has to be pretty steady and I should be back soon, if it all goes well.”
After the holidays, the Senators prospect was whisked to Ottawa to continue his rehabilitation work. Obviously, after cracking the Sens roster the past two training camps, the big club is heavily invested in him and wants him close at hand during the repair process.
“They made me pretty welcome and basically part of the team,” he said. “I’m still doing rehab and that’s the main focus, but I still get to go to Sens games and root them on, too. At the same time, I’ve been focused on getting ready to play and watching all the London games on my laptop here.
“It’s good to see them clicking and I’m real excited to get back.”
'Back soon': Alex Formenton closes in on injury return for London Knights

McMichael & Guskov playing for Team Orr tonight @ the 2019 CHL Prospect Game

That probably means that McMichael & Guskov wont be playing for the Knights against Windsor tomorrow then.

London Knights' Jordan Kooy nears return, but Joseph Raaymakers still holds the net

TOO LATE: The Knights will be without sophomore forwards Connor McMichael and Matvey Guskov, who won’t return from the Top Prospects game Wednesday in Red Deer in time for Thursday’s game in Windsor.
The Knights have been forced to shuffle their lines because of it. Some teams battling against London atop the standings won’t be in the same shorthanded situation this week.
The pursuing Soo Greyhounds, for instance, don’t play a game until Saturday.
“Everyone’s jumbled up (at forward),” Dale Hunter said. “Everybody gets to play. We’ll have rookies in the lineup and have everyone back (Friday).”

Possible replacements for Peter Chiarelli

Six possible candidates to replace Chiarelli as Oilers GM - Sportsnet.ca

Mark Hunter

Nicholson said at Wednesday’s press conference he wants the next GM to be “a person to assess talent” and Hunter is undeniably one of the top talent assessors in hockey. Nicholson added that he thinks it would benefit the Oilers if they kept their young players in the minors longer than they currently do. Hunter’s vast experience as GM of the OHL’s London Knights lends itself well to knowing when a player is ready to take that next step.
Doug MacLean has known Hunter for more than 30 years. He coached Hunter when the two were with the St. Louis Blues during the 1987-88 season and the Sportsnet analyst said Hunter would be one of the first people he’d call regarding a GM vacancy.
“He’s a hockey guy, he’s a strong guy, he understands team building, he understands chemistry in a room, he understands the modern athlete,” MacLean said of Hunter on Hockey Central at Noon.
Hunter returned to the Knights this past August after spending the previous four years with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The move came after Kyle Dubas was named Leafs GM.

Has anyone noticed Sean McGurn 5 points game last Sunday in the St Thomas 7-4 victory over Strathroy?

It kind of chocked me a little bit, I watched him play 5 times this season and he played well but never showed much on the score sheets. Learning and doing his job going up and down the ice always responsible on his defensive side but this outburst was a surprise. I didn’t see this game in Strathroy but now wished I had, I hope this is a sign of more to come.

Mark Hunter was the first name that came to mind.I wouldn't be surprised if interm GM Keith Gretzky gets the job.

I spoke to a Knights' scout who was rather high on McGurn.
He didn't stand out to me during the rookie camp but I'm looking forward to next year's camp to see how he's developed.

Is this once an awhile fast road start or have they really learned from their past slow road starts history ?

I like how this game went in the first, first on everything, on the pucks , on rebounds , along the board , in total shots , in checks and on the faceoffs as well . Excellent first period

Incredible puck control.
At the arena and it looks like they're running the ice from here. Positioning is excellent and guys are spread out more than have been lately.
Windsor couldn't keep up and were always out of position or one step behind.
