I knew you guys would warm up to Kevin Hancock.

Don't worry about the hype surrounding players. "Watch them play".

BTW
Suzuki has 9 points over 7 games and 1 point in his last 4 games.
KH has 15 points over his 10 games and 9 over the last 4 games.

Not that getting Suzuki would have sucked or anything....but Hancock is just good at everything (except maybe the first two steps ; )

Some didnt need to warm up :). Some saw it for what it was the day the trade was made and posted such. A great acquisition.

Tymkin was leading the team in scoring in November so not sure he has just "busted out" now.

He has had a solid year from day 1.

Exactly.....then he went to Turko's line and had slumped ever since....well, until last night, when he got moved off of Turko's line and busted back out!

Ok.

Players have roles on a team.

Players go on streaks. ( ala Tymkin )

Im positive Hunter will not be relying on Tymkin to be driving the bus offensively come playoffs. Regardless of your assessment he has broken out since freed from Turkos shackles lol.

He will be put in a role to best help tbe club win, and it wont be as a top scoring winger.

Turko plays a role, does it well. And has caught the eye of knights brass since MM jr Knights games. No he isnt an offensive dynamo, nor does he have to be to help the club. He does alot of little things well. Will never be a star. Wont make the NHL. But doesnt hurt the club overall.

5-0 after two.
Shots 23-17 London.
PPs...Windsor has 3 (I think), London 0.
Where's the Friday night officiating?
Awkward moment after Foudy scored...his mom yells out "You're our favourite son, Liam! Go Knights go!"
(Yes, I'm kidding).

Sorry Nelli tonight I have nothing for you tonight besides maybe what a good job the PK did of preventing an Evangelista goal that the whole team wanted especially Stranges... Also the Spit’s will be showing that they’re leaders in the OHL’s environmental responsibility efforts by simply deleting the tape rather than burning it?

As per last year Foudy is getting red hot in the second half and has 8 goals and 6 Assists in the last 8 games and he is leading the team with a + 30 and he has the 5th highest plus in the OHL and the highest of a non Ottawa 67. Formo will get him hotter when he comes back also I believe.

Sounds good to me!

Anybody notice how Tymkin has busted out since playing with guys not named Turko.....and Moskal as well, last night? Some on here say Turko is underrated. I say he is overrated, by Dale & Company. Sure he does a lot of little things right and is good defensively, but let's face it, he is an offensive liability and his line is where forwards go to break outta their hot streaks. :)

Moskal broke out cause he wasnt with Turko?

2 goals at the end of a game where the other team didnt compete?
It wasnt that he was free of Turko, it was the Spits lack of compete. Moskal scored 2 gimmies on team that quit (one an EN)

In no way do I think Turko is an offensive player.

But I also feel Moskal n Tymkin are bottom 6 Fs on this club. And would be even if Turko was elsewhere.

I feel all 3 are important cogs on this team moving forward.

Of course they are.....but at least they can contribute offensively when not saddled with Turko. ;)

I guess my point is, I feel the team is much more effective with the lines shuffled, as in the last two games. When Tymkin, Moskal and Turko are together, they do a great job of checking the other team's top line, but they're not a threat to score and they spend waaaaayyyyyyy too much time on the ice.

Ideally, Turko should've been replaced by another offensively gifted forward at the deadline.

So what would your lines be? And keep in mind Dale loves a shutdown line and who is best suited for that on this squad. Im honestly interested.

Who would you saddle with Turko?

I have posted for a year n a half the staff loves Turko. He may fall to 4th line but then you are "saddling" a Guskov, Starnges or others.

I wouldn't saddle anybody with Turko. With one more card, I would've replaced Turko with a Brazeau-type forward.....also could've been accomplished by trading for another forward instead of for another defenseman in Keane.

Tymkin, Moskal and Cotter would make one heck of a shutdown line and also a scoring threat!

Ok change the direction of the convo.....
Maybe Keane was added cause they knew Perrott was leaving for Hancock? (or leaving period, as discussed on here previously) (Hancock a great addition) And that they didnt trust Golden or Timms and Keane was a value add. Much cheaper than your player mentioned who may not have even been available. Its not play station. Teams have assests they are willing to spend. London wasnt going to mortgage the future on a "name" F or 2 on hope the 5/6 D held up when they could add a top 3 OHL scorer and a solid D for much cheaper.

Ok back to your original issue......since Turko is on the team. Not going anywhere. Staff loves the kid. What do you do for F lines moving forward?
Or would you go with 11 Fs and 7 D and sit him lol?

Not speaking for KnightWatch, but I posted some lines earlier. Turko has a role as a 4th liner and a solid PKer. Tymkin I believe can play a top 6 role, or on this version of a Knights team, a top 9 role.
In no particular order (as I mentioned, 3 scoring lines and a shutdown line.)

Foudy-Hancock-Tymkin
Guskov-McMichael-Dunkley
Formenton-Cotter-Stranges
Turko-Moskal-Nelson

Id say flip Guskov and Formenton. I dont see Formenton playing on the 3rd line

Post-game thoughts:
Not many...it was just your old fashion blow out. I didn't miss the skills competition tonight, I saw it at the Bud (team in the green)!
Knights trying to get Evangelista that elusive first goal---came close on the final PP--he was out there for the full 2 min. He'll bulk up over the summer and will be a key contributor next season. Imagine how many points Stranges would have if he was given the same amount of ice time as J-L Foudy and Cuylle...I think we'll find out next year. I don't recall any team relying on two 16 yr olds to be their main point producers, but Windsor seems content to have their two first round picks lead the way. Bizarre.
Spits could be our first round opponent in the playoffs.

Hedon rating: 10/10
Evangesista Better bulk up because he gets rubbed out easily. Was good on the PP but 5 on 5 not so much.Does not look to have the frame to bulk up.
Looks like a pee wee .
We will see.

Agreed. He's certainly lacking in the strength department; gets knocked around with ease. However, I'm honestly not at all concerned--he's only 16, and I'm confident that he will mature physically, and allow his skills to shine. I'll make a bold prediction:
he will evoke comparisons to Rob Thomas in the next few seasons! :amazed:

Agreed Nelli. People were all over Foudy as well. If his head stays screwed on correctly we will all be impressed as he develops physically and gets more ice time.

Some 16yr olds don't need to bulk up because their skillset separates them from the opposition (Marner,Stranges,JL Foudy) while others have to get stronger just to get playing time. Evangelista and Panwar fall into the latter category in my opinion and will get passed on the depth chart unless they get stronger and faster. If London picked before Windsor we'd have 2 Foudy's in the lineup. Trust me..Evangelista wasn't #1 on their list no matter what people say publicly

I think Panwar has showing alot better than Evangelista and its not even close imo
