I don't know about anyone else but I rated Mailloux's play with the puck in the Ozone pretty low.
Couldn't get his shots or his passes through for the most part and his passing accuracy was a shocker.
He seems to be pretty accurate when he's stationary but not when he's in motion.

I just remembered he lost danault for nothing that offseason too.
Bergevin has had 2 of the worst offseasons that I can recall... and I'm talking since the early 90s.

Mailloux looked like he was 2 years away in preseason, there's no way he should be called up already.
They might call up William Trudeau and leave Mailloux and Engstrom alone.
I probably would if it's just to have a warm body in the booth.

Hopefully Mailloux up by trade deadline at latest. Trade Savard then. Veteran defensive D usually return overpayment then. Need experience on D but Savard looks near end career. Can sign vet in summer.

He is the most underrated young D in this pool. This guy have everything to be a star. I said that since his draft year. I'm very hype with his talent. He is better at defensive also!
Mailloux is going to dominate the AHL. we won't keep him down for long.

The reason he was sent down wasn't to improve his offense, it was to work on his dzone play.
There's still some decisions I see, for which he can get more reps in the ozone. That said I'd use him over Barron if I had a trade ready
