Let's see if they've taught him some defensive IQ over the summer 'cause I don't have many questions about his offensive game.

Is his offensive game that good ?

Its tough for me to get a read on him since he's played so little.

His wrist shot is an absolute bullet. It's crazy how quickly he gets it off & how fast it flies off his stick. It's nasty & he does that from the f***ing blueline.

I'm old, but he reminds me of Al Iafrate. All power. Power skater, power shots, power hitter. He's not subtle at all. Lol

Any talk about him maybe going to WJC or would hockey Canada want to stay clear of that?

Not looking to get into the details of Logan or hockey canadas past here, just asking a simple question as to whether he’ll be invited and have a chance to make the team?

I would say he won't get an invite.

The new regime in place for Hockey Canada isn't going to risk the potential media shit storm even if the Canadiens feel Mailloux has done enough to show he's learned and grown from the incident.

I totally get it from a PR perspective.

I believe so as well. The new HC will need to prove a ton to reassure the sponsors, so it wouldn't make sense politically.

It's okay, he may never be a national team guy, even though he probably has the talent for it, but he can be a very good NHL player for us.

Politics and money considerations influencing hockey decisions? I’m shocked.

Molson is a puss.
He accepted to select him but can’t even defend his own decisions publicly. Hats off on Bergevin to protect the kid while knowing that what happens off ice every year from the NHL players is way worse.

Politics & pity management against Québécois woke corporate pressure would have kill the club if Gorton, Hughes & Macabe wouldn’t have light off the fire. Got no respect towards cowardice like Molson.
I don't know about cowardice. He seems to have authorized the selection of a player that most of the league and press thought was untouchable.

Molson and the organization started a program and pumped in $1-million into it to help educate people on things like consent and inclusiveness.

The Knights have a game today and then the next one is sunday. I wonder if he'll have his season debut this weekend or if they'll want to have him get a practice or two in with the team before.

Im pumped to see him this year. If healthy I'd expect him to suit up. He will generate offence for the Knights from the back end...something that they are lacking. I hope to go to 4 or 5 games this winter.

I think Mailloux will stand out on a defence that includes Montgomery, George and Dickinson (who btw looked really really good last Friday when I was there).

I know Dale Hunter had said that he might need some practices in order to get into as much game shape as possible before playing. And that he should be back end-of-October/start-of-November.

Granted, he said that a few weeks ago when Mailloux was still skating with a non-contact jersey. But since then, Mailloux was cleared to participate at full practice a while ago. So his return has surely changed. Although I do think he might need a few practices before Hunter plays him. I say this and he could end up playing either tonight or this weekend.
