Cooley is the better player, the gap between them getting bigger each and every game. Many people thought Cooley should have went first overall and he's showing why.

I’m still taking Slaf but I just very much believe in him long-term.

Cooley in a vacum is probably the best player, but in Montreal I still take Slafkovsky. Might be bias, but he seems to be the powerforward this team has been lacking since forever and there's still a lot of room to grow in his case.

Slafkovský, he's a unicorn. Cooley may very well end up being the better player, but at this point I'll still take the upside.

Cooley is a centre playing at close to a ppg while being a play driver. He’s the key player on any line he’s on. Slafkosky is a winger who looks like he’s going to be a nice complimentary piece on a line with play drivers.

You sure about that? Last season Cooley had 3 goals at around the halfway point. His start to the season last year wasn’t the greatest.
