Confirmed with Link: Lockout Discussion Thread 5.0: The Lockout is over!!

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

The players need to realize, quickly, that Fehr has no interest in making a deal. None.

The positive is that for the first time, NHL made offer, NHLPA made counter offer, NHL now is looking over it and might make possible counter offer to that. This is major step in the negotiations; a certain "flow" in the talks.

Happy new years yall,
hoping to see MiG and his GDT's in 2013

It's the January 11 fiscal cliff staring at them.

as I have said since the start there will be a season ill bet my fiancee on that.. happy new year everyone we will be in last place in no time.......

yes she's very cute and i don't like to part with my possessions but i am so confident i'll even throw in a few extra perks

As much as I love NHL hockey, it wouldn't bother me to see the season cancelled and for both sides get zero $$$ for 2012-2013.

It is well-deserved.

Question guys, hypothetical....the season starts on Jan 19th as Bettman hopes, do you think that Superbowl Weekend will still have two afternoon games at the Bell Centre... Just curious...

I would wager on it. That's a tradition the Habs will want to keep AND the NHL will need to squeeze in as many games as possible, so it works.

If I was a player I would take the deal! It's only little bit of difference. For majority....lose the season they will never make that money back. Average player making 3 million bucks not hard to tell players are over paid. Cap is 70 million roughly 22 players on roster, average guy has to be over 3 million. System must be screwed up see an average player make 3 million a year. So what if they make 2.8 instead. 60 million divided by 22 players
