Where have i ever stated that Trouba wants to play exclusively in Detroit, I've never once stated that and i'm getting sick an tired of people bringing it up. What i've said is that Trouba wants to play close to home near home in Detroit and doesn't want any part of Canada. I've never said that Trouba solely wants to play in Detroit though i'm pretty sure it would be #1 on his list. It sounds like Trouba wants to play in the States preferably in the Eastern Conference and as far as teams possibly linked to Trouba they're the Rangers, Bruins, Red Wings and the Coyotes as of now that have been mentioned.

You're suggesting the Ducks are taking a risk if they sign him to a bridge because you think he wants to play for Detroit or near Detroit. When asked what source suggests that he wants to play near Detroit, you have nothing except speculation from other internet fans.

So, essentially, based on absolutely nothing.

If it was a concern, the Ducks could, y'know, ask Trouba.

But for now, I don't think that is a significant factor to nix discussion of a potential trade destination.

I don't see a reason why this tweet is gaining traction. Murphy himself said that the NHL executive said that the Ducks let it be known that they would be willing to trade Lindholm for a young top-pairing D. But Murphy also mentioned that it does not mean the Ducks will trade Lindholm. I'm sure Murray would do a trade like that if he got a cheaper top-pairing potential defenseman who is on an ELC like Hanifin for example, but so would the Jets for Trouba who are looking for an LD version of him in return which has gone nowhere as well. If you ask me, Murphy is a hack, but even if what he's saying is true, what has been reported is not game-breaking by any means. If anything, it's a whole lot of air that's obvious.

It's based mostly on the fact that Detroit badly needs a high quality blueliner, and they used to attract top free agents back before aught-five or so, and even though it's been over a decade IT COULD TOTALLY HAPPEN AGAN GUYS. :)

Personally, I'm waiting for when we start getting "Werenski wants to play for the Red Wings" threads and we get to start saying "sure, you can have a Michigan Man from our blueline; we'd be happy to send you Jack Johnson." :D

This seems to simply be (intentional?) lack of critical thinking in an attempt to get people to look at him.

So, which is more likely : 1 - in the midst of everyone calling for Fowler, something that HAS been widely reported by multiple reputable sources, someone ASKED about Lindholm and was told "sure, you can have him for this ludicrous overpayment"; or 2 - the Ducks are actively shopping Lindholm, and this guy was the ONLY person in the hockey media to ask any execs if they're doing so, and this guy is the ONLY one the execs would talk to.

Everyone has a price they'll be traded for. Nothing to see here.

However, if you're going to make a trade proposal based off of this guy, make sure your trade proposal is "laughably" bad for your team, because that's the REPORTED cost.

Trading rielly would be tempting. Lindholm is better now but going forward it's close. I normally wouldn't think about it but there are way too many offensive minded dman on toronto already. So adding lindholm would be a change.

Dreger was the one mentioning him possibly wanting to play in Detroit and that he would more then likely take less to make it happen. Not me only going by what's been floating out there. I could care less he's not coming to Detroit yet any ways. Maybe he would accept a long term deal with Anaheim i don't know. And we might not know for awhile depending on how long this holds out.

I understand the valuation of Nurse at this point in his career but there is no reason to deal Drai for Lindholm, if we're trading him it's for a RH stud like Parayko.

Understandable, but there really isn't any reason to deal Lindholm to Edmonton at all if Drai + isn't what's coming back.

Is Depres contract insured? That's more than $12M over the duration from Ducks owner's pocketbook if not. He's had a history of concussions before so insurance might not have covered him. Aren't the Ducks an internal budget team?

Rielly for Lindholm?

Before you call this a lateral move for Toronto, it would strengthen their back end from a defensive standpoint, I don't think we'll need a ton of offense from our D. That said, I don't see Toronto doing it, since they've drafted and developed Rielly, and signed him to a nice contract.

I prefer Reilly plus since he signed right away, pretty much the only one of the top young D to sign without holding out at all that means a lot for a player you'd want as your main D man.

Edmonton is no longer desperate enough to offer Draisaitl. With a 4-1 record there are a lot of Oilers that were trade bait a month ago that no longer are.
You wont get Klef or Larrson. That pairing is cemented.
Lucic...no
Puljujarvi on ELC and not needing expansion draft protection...no
Draisaitl...lol
McDavid LOL

The rest can likely be had. I question whether even Eberle is available now

Why do posters serve up RIDICULOUS trade proposals just to entice both fanbases into flaming and other distractions?
