Tampa was sleepy and playing like shit recently. We brought out the best in them and then we responded well. Good game. Feel we are better than Carolina down the stretch here but, if not if we can beat Vasilevksy Shitstreakin won't be unbeatable either. Coming away positively and what a game. Fans got their money's worth. Moral victories are ok when your 27 games over .500 in regulation.

I'm happy with the point. We BATTLED. Much better showing then yesterday. Vasilevsky was great too.

Moreover we lost in a gimmick. That means nothing when it comes to judging us against them in a playoff match up. I think we win that one if it was the playoffs.

I'm more bummed that Schmid allowed 3 goals on like 22 shots and was 1 for 3 in the shootout.

Because that's more of an excuse to add that cancerous shit bag back to our team to give games, especially with Vitek blowing a gasket recently.

And by cancerous, I'm not implying he's a locker room cancer, but he is a cancer in the nets.

Fine with this. Horrific first period followed by two decent enough periods. Happy that Timo got two, and especially happy with those line combos at the end. Timo was at the end of his shift when he scored his first of the night, and he was with Boq and Haula, and that was probably the best shift I have seen him play in a Devils uni. Keep those three together and move Palat up with Bratt and Hughes.

These two games were definitely a much different tampa team than I’ve seen most of the past few months. Seems like they are revving it up for that Leafs first round.

The Killorn one was bad but it happens, the format is completely garbage where a guy like Timo Meier + Steven Stamkos can miss chances but a guy like Alex Killorn can f***ing score lol

Schmid was overall great tonight. Didn't have a chance on really any of the goals scored on him and had a huge save that should've been a huge momentum shifter for the team. Really hope they don't stat watch this game on him because the team gave him basically no chance on his goals. Imo, he deserves to be the starter, or at least 1a/1b with Vitek

They don’t cheat enough. The way the game is reffed teams have every incentive to constantly clutch garb hold waterski and even cheap shot. Game management means it’s only one or two penalties anyway

A lot of young players. They will gain this kind of expirience too. Tampa knows what they are doing. Even with grey zone actions, with cycling, with defensive structure. It`s better to play more against them. I wish Devils could have more games against atlantic teams.

2 decent enough periods? We outplayed the shit out of them after the 1st. They barely created anything. If not for Vasi we come out of this game with 2 points, in regulation.

Hockey shouldn't do ANYTHING the way basketball does it.

The shootout is akin to determining a winner in an extra innings baseball game with a homerun derby. It’s a stupid gimmick and has nothing to do with the actual game. The novelty wore off a long time ago.

I read an article about how another league extended OT to 7 minutes and saw a dramatic decrease in shootouts. Only 18% of games went to the shootout.
