Timo has been underwhelming, that can't be denied. But I agree it's probably a lot to do with what you said and a lot none of us even understand.

He hasn't been very good, and if I had a time machine to go back to the day Fitz made the trade and be able to be in the room, I would still stand right behind him with a hand on his shoulder whispering dooo iiittttt.

It was and still is the right move, the way he is playing right now means nothing, but doesn't need to be ignored.

If I didn't think there was at least an 80% chance he signs long-term I wouldn't have bothered either, since the price everyone was happy to give up under the assumption he stays long term becomes a lot to give up for just a season plus. That was a bit of a unique circumstance where the sun, moon and the stars aligned though.

Agree. But the eternal optimists like me that were convinced they were going to the ECF prior to the trade are going to be critical if they do not make the ECF
