Great is a stretch. Maybe 3 good shifts. I would not call them great, just not as bad as the crap they played prior and after.
I said it earlier, people are grasping at any signs of life because we've been so bad

Devils give up 8 play like shit the refs sucked and they lose again so a typical game?
Did the puck go in off the ref? I absolutely hate that the refs are on the ice. Hockey is too fast. Why can't you have a tether cam up top and two linesman in the penalty box or the bench areas to break up altercations? I just hate how much the refs interfere in hockey.
Don't think we gave up 8 all year last season, right?
I'd be surprised if we didn'tDon't think we gave up 8 all year last season, right?
I still highly doubt Nemec goes to Utica. He showed he belonged last year and he’s been playing much better for a bit now and Keefe has said so himself. He played well tonight apart from that one brutal lapse at the end of what was a great offensive zone shift.Pesce in, Misyul out on Thursday
then Hughes in, Nemec to Utica after that
You and unseen or parsing my words way too seriously. You both know I was implying that they were starting to play better in this game in that 2nd before the hitI said it earlier, people are grasping at any signs of life because we've been so bad
Holy shit we are screwedI'd be surprised if we didn't

Well son of a gun, we didn't give up more than six lmao
Tampa was running globetrotter offense in our d zone all night
They literally tied the game in washington40% xG removing the score effect riddle 3rd periods of the last 2 games. Honestly a lot better than I expected. I think those numbers paint a prettier picture than reality

No need to take a very simple post and drive it into a battle of narratives
Was literally just talking a few mins of this gm
This is from the other day. The way they move the puck around compared to how we do is crazy.
Someone said but we're giving opposing D-Men and forwards way too much time and space in the high offense zone
Anyone who thinks getting traditionally heavier players is gonna win more battles is a stuck in a Time Machine. What bugs me is this they overhauled the roster to play “heavier” and they still lose every battle. I don’t get it.
I don’t want them running people either not at this point. But I would want to see them be physical get angry out there throw a hit nothing stevens like but still be physical. Show emotion care play desperate. If you see your top guys checked out because your down a couple goals then you ain’t going to do muchYep and I agree with you. At this point, someone like Cotter or Nate should just be running guys all period. I just don't expect it from Jack or Bratt, nor do I want it.
They literally tied the game in washington
To be fair, we don't have 1 player right now that comes close to Kucherov or Point.
can someone explain the hit for those that didnt catch the game
Maybe that Canada trip coming up is good medicineThese last couple of games are familiar bad habits on display. That Lindy stench is strong. The guys who were here last year need to learn to play D, and the other guys are new to the team/coach/teammates. I'm honestly surprised they didn't look more like this in the first week.
What really sucks is that this team just seems incapable of playing better at home. I don't understand it, but it's really dis-spiriting as a fan. Maybe even moreso than the overall mediocrity for the last decade.

I’ll have to watch again but I’m not so sure that’s on Dougie. The forward (I think Noesan) was far too collapsed. Hedman was moving in from the point and I think he should’ve stepped out a little to intercept that pass. The Hedman goal in particular sticks out like a sore thumb. Dougie couldn't be bothered to do anything.
