Rangers have won as many games in the conference finals as they've won playoff games in the last 9 years.

That team is about to make Buffalo's playoff drought look like a week long staycation.
But but the only reason they finished nearly 50 points behind us and bottom 5 in the league is because of shitty goaltending. They are just as good as us minus the goaltending according to their board. The delusion runs deep.

i actually clapped after the Zib goal
Was jacked after the Chytil 2nd goal
I’m really hoping they win the next one . That would put doubt in the Tampa room

Good win by the “underdogs”.

Hey, did you guys know Tampa always wins after they lose? Because ESPN wasn’t shy about letting us know. f***ing losers.

Reaves smiling on top of Maroon is an automatic meme.
Did you also know Carolina is undefeated at Home in the playoffs?

:thumbu::naughty: I love the hate we keep getting from ESPN. Every comment/backhanded compliment from Ferraro has a BUT in it. He just refuses to give us credit. f*** him. Love it.

Literally best case scenario in game 1. First and foremost secure the win, score a bunch of goals on Vasy to put a rest to the backup goalie argument, capitalize on the rush, kid line keeps rolling, big guns show up.

Chytil picked a great time to start playing to his potential, guy looks like the player we all thought he could be based on his flashes he'd show and his skill.

Panarin had more jump tonight, hopefully he's getting healthier. Mika and Kreider looked good. Fox was a little up and down but his play keeping the puck in the zone on the 4-2 goal was amazing, that whole shift was amazing.

Tampa is a great team with great high end skill, great depth and an amazing goalie. A game 1 win is nothing to get ahead of yourselves about, just be happy with the win and try and come with an even better effort on Friday. Vasy is going to be locked in on Friday, dude is insane after a loss. Tampa as a team is going to come out flying on Friday.

Chytil always showed signs of talent. He has obviously taken his game to another level this postseason. The strength he is showing, the quickness in hunting the puck, bounces finally going his way, all lead to the success he has had this postseason. He is a diamond in the rough no more.
Plus you put guys like Laffy and Kakko next to him who have the ability to set him up, and good things are bound to happen.
The Canes were able to slow our attack, by an aggressive, in your face, style of play. Everyone in hockey agreed they were the strongest, most aggressive team on the forecheck this year. And they gave us fits this series, and also in the regular season.
Tampa poses no such threat. They will not slow our attack. We will have much more freedom to make plays and forecheck. Vasilevskiy will be pressured and tested often. The number of quality chances will go up significantly against Tampa. Panarin will wake up out of his slumber, because now he will have time and space to make plays with the puck.
Panarin will have time and space to make plays and Kreids will not be restricted in using his speed. Tampa is in for a world of hurt. And let's not forget how Zibad light's up Tampa every time he plays them.
Anything he does [Panarin] will be better than the last series. Of that you can be sure of. A drop in class always helps. You might think of Tampa being better than the Canes, but I think not.
I'm not saying we are going to sweep. I'm just saying we have met tougher opponents. Tampa is not nearly as fast as the Canes, or us for that matter. They will have difficulty with our speed and forecheck. Tampa cannot pressure us like the Canes did. They are a much slower team. There will be more time and space for us to make plays, to break out of our zone cleanly, and to carry the puck through the neutral zone. All leading to more quality chances than we had against the Canes.
They can't match our speed and we have home ice. And we play extremely well at home. I don't see how they can beat us. I honestly don't. If we play our game, we are the better team and will come out on top.
Vasilevskiy is no Ben Bishop. I don't know why everyone makes him out to be. [A mountain in net]
Probably the most important factor in this series that you failed to address is speed. Which is why the Rangers will win. Tampa can't match our speed or aggressiveness.
If you look at our 3 games against them during the season, you will see we had no problem executing. .... unless Tampa has suddenly become a much faster team, they can't stop us from executing our game plan, which is attacking with speed and aggressiveness.
And Panarin is guaranteed to have a much better series against Tampa. For one, he couldn't play much worse than he did vs the Canes. And two, he will surely have more time and space to operate and make plays. Also look for Zibad to light up the Bolts. He scored all 3 game winners vs TB this season.
My sentiments exactly. And besides, doesn't the cream always rise to the top? We are the better team going in, plus we have home ice advantage.
I wouldn't worry. It's very possible we lose this game coming off a highly emotional Game 7 win. But we will still advance to the Finals. Then again, we just might blow them out of the water in Game 1 with the crowd behind us.
Oh Baby, this guy is good! :P

Not what my eyes saw. Guess that means........Igor was better.

that's ridiculous

Also, Ross Colton had one powerplay shot that has a higher expected goal % than all six Rangers goals combined. And that shot happened with 14 seconds remaining in the game !

I love Moneypuck, but sometimes I do wonder if they just make shit up.

I loved that. Reavo was laughing in the guys face like "you really wanna do this?"
There's a reason the other scrums kept going and it was because they didn't want Reavo to murder anyone.

Yeah because he was playing with Gauthier and McKegg for large portions of the season.
Wow I completely blocked Goat out of my mind.

I've been a big Chytil believer the whole way, but regardless of linemates this (regular) season was a step back for him. The tantalizing thing was that he both looked good while failing to finish, and finished without looking good. There's too much talent there for him to be scoring single digit goals.
