and I agree Schneider is ready for more but when Trouba is back he will go back to the bottom pairing. I think Schneider would be better getting more reps and time.

Schneider and Miller have skill especially the latter. Despite the one gaffe that cost us he raises his game against top forwards. He did it in the playoffs already against terrific forwards.

I think they should sell. Case is that the team isn't strong enough core wise to win the cup, they are no longer young, and the next wave core (laf, kakko, cuylle, miller, fox) is probably not good enough either. They aren't "help" away from contention. They are a new core away. That's impossible at a deadline.

It's obvious Jones will never been given a good stretch of games here but a GM out there should definitely ask how much he would cost in a trade.

I thought he played very well tonight. He needs more reps, but he handled the puck well & wasn't intimidated by the MacK line when he was matched up against them.

that wasn't really a gaffe at all. he stepped up on one of the best players in the world and missed but he had the other 4 players back behind him, MacKinnon got a low danger scoring chance out of it and scored.

3rd and OT were excellent. Quick was very good.

Really, really, really needed that win for the vibes after a long break, coming out with an exciting win against a good team hopefully helps them get rolling and leave that funk behind them.

His 3rd and OT were better but I still need more out of Mika. Hopefully a step in the right direction. Also need players to shoot while using the royal pass as a decoy more often like Laf did on the winning goal.

Honestly I wish they’d try Trouba should with Gus when he comes back and let Miller-Schneider marinate a little bit if they’re not going to try Key-Fox. Maybe the time off will have Trouba looking better when he comes back but he was really rough for January, even by his poor standard this season.

It resulted in a 1 v 2 turned into a 1v1 bc asking Goodrow to skate with Mac is just a losing endeavor.

it was a weak goal. Quick stops that and only 2 people are talking about the whiff.
