hey hanrahan!
They should have left this kid alone and sent Chytil down to play with him. This is a mistake and one I don’t get considering the amount of players we have.

No no no, there is absolutely no danger of that. He is still developing, the only way they'd trade him would be for McDavid or something...lolDo you think Chytil trade???? OMG NO. If it will be Vlad or Spoon .. no problem.
If people honestly think McLeod will be a healthy scratch for an extended period this season, they will be in for a surprise.
One can dream. If people honestly think McLeod will be a healthy scratch for an extended period this season, they will be in for a surprise.
So what do you feel will happen?
I wonder if they purposely called him up post-Sabres, wanting not to reignite HFNYR's longstanding Andersson-Middlestadt debate. Because they read the posts here.
Or, much more likely, because Howden got hurt against the Sabres.
Why must people always search for the least plausible answer to everything? Can we lay off the conspiracy theories for once?
That's what it says on the roster but online stores are showing his #50 jersey selling at a deep discount.Lias will probably wear 50 for now. The Rangers have options--Chytil's been used on the wing and Andersson can play on the wing too--so both of them can stay--even if Howden comes back quick. Lettieri can go down without going through waivers and I think Nieves can too. We could trade someone like Spooner or dump McLeod.
Even if Lias goes back to Hartford I think his days there are numbered. It seems to me he's pretty much figured out that league and is ready for the next step. Playing in all situations as a 1C and producing. He's a really good hockey player.
I'm 99% sure that was a joke![]()

Seriously, there needs to be a sarcasm font or color. Lol.Or, much more likely, because Howden got hurt against the Sabres.

happy to see LA.
play him, let him develop. hes been the best forward on hartford.
move hayes and zuc. move forward.
promote the tank
loose for hughes
Dont want him to have Nasher's # for no particular reason other than it doesnt seem to fit. Would prefer he take Cally's # as he already has been unofficially given the "C" of the future and imo, pans out to be something similar in what Cally brought. That would be a wonderful thing. Now that Nash is gone, he can play with no 61
In the last 2 years he has played with 23 (Husq), 24 (Sweden, Frolunda), 61 (Frolunda), 50 (Rangers) and 28 (Hartford)
* He switched from no 24 to no 61 for Frolunda after no 24 was retired to honor his dad.

Obviously Mcleod is a sore spot, but with the much better play of Vesey, Names and even Buch......this team isn't looking so bad on paper. More importantly, they haven't looked nearly as bad on the ice as we may have thought.I'd love to go with this:
Kreider-Zibanejad-Lias
Namestnikov-Hayes-Zuccarello
Vesey-Chytil-Buchnevich
Fast-Lettieri-McLeod
I want to see Lias and Zib build on the chemistry from Denmark
He needs to give it up, for halloween's sake. BOO!Your realize Boo is wearing 24 right now??
Are we sure lias is the better player right now?Prob Lias is a better player right now, so that will be factored in.
Funny, that was my EXACT thought in which i replied with a 24 comparison.I remember years ago when Callahan got sent down, played his tail off, came back up and never looked back.
I think the minutes in Hartford were good for him and it’ll show on the ice.
True, but I think they were desperate to give the fans a "reason" for wanting to come out and watch that team play. Same as we may want to see the likes of Chytil, LA and Buch. Eventually becoming our support group of our "studs".True but i think Toronto wouldn't have had the Nylander issue if they let his contract slide that first year of 2015-2016.
