Good. Now maybe we don't have to see that bumbling idiot McLeod attempt to play hockey any longer.

Do you think Chytil trade???? OMG NO. If it will be Vlad or Spoon .. no problem.
No no no, there is absolutely no danger of that. He is still developing, the only way they'd trade him would be for McDavid or something...lol

I was thinking a veteran :)

I think this is a smart move, if you wanna get more out of the guys who are here inserting a guy who could plausibly take your spot ups the pressure to perform and do what the coach asks. I think in the end we are gonna be left with both chytil and andersson on the team with Letterri sent down and MacLeod as the extra. The only thing will be that with MacLeod out there might be a want to put McQuaid in for some push back. Letterri hasn't earned his spot here, letterri needed to get his shot going and never did. I'm expecting Chytil to take howdens spot and for Andersson to get on the 4th line which isnt ideal but maybe a good way to ease him in.

So what do you feel will happen?

McLeod will play the majority of games because Quinn, like any other NHL coach, values toughness still in today's game. Our prospects will be on a short leash, as they are with every coach. Fans need to realize it's not AV that was the problem, it's the coaching mindset in the NHL

No problem with carrying a guy like McLeod, I do believe every team needs AT LEAST a guy who can not have his own team get run out of the building. What I don't like, is that our two top touted prospects may be consistently exposed to this blasphemy throughout the entire year on the 4th line.

happy to see LA.

play him, let him develop. hes been the best forward on hartford.

move hayes and zuc. move forward.

promote the tank

loose for hughes

I wonder if they purposely called him up post-Sabres, wanting not to reignite HFNYR's longstanding Andersson-Middlestadt debate. Because they read the posts here.

Or, much more likely, because Howden got hurt against the Sabres.

Why must people always search for the least plausible answer to everything? Can we lay off the conspiracy theories for once?

Lias will probably wear 50 for now. The Rangers have options--Chytil's been used on the wing and Andersson can play on the wing too--so both of them can stay--even if Howden comes back quick. Lettieri can go down without going through waivers and I think Nieves can too. We could trade someone like Spooner or dump McLeod.

Even if Lias goes back to Hartford I think his days there are numbered. It seems to me he's pretty much figured out that league and is ready for the next step. Playing in all situations as a 1C and producing. He's a really good hockey player.
That's what it says on the roster but online stores are showing his #50 jersey selling at a deep discount.

Seriously, there needs to be a sarcasm font or color. Lol.

Now that Nash is gone, he can play with no 61 ;)

In the last 2 years he has played with 23 (Husq), 24 (Sweden, Frolunda), 61 (Frolunda), 50 (Rangers) and 28 (Hartford)

* He switched from no 24 to no 61 for Frolunda after no 24 was retired to honor his dad.

Dont want him to have Nasher's # for no particular reason other than it doesnt seem to fit. Would prefer he take Cally's # as he already has been unofficially given the "C" of the future and imo, pans out to be something similar in what Cally brought. That would be a wonderful thing.

I'd love to go with this:

Kreider-Zibanejad-Lias
Namestnikov-Hayes-Zuccarello
Vesey-Chytil-Buchnevich
Fast-Lettieri-McLeod

I want to see Lias and Zib build on the chemistry from Denmark
Obviously Mcleod is a sore spot, but with the much better play of Vesey, Names and even Buch......this team isn't looking so bad on paper. More importantly, they haven't looked nearly as bad on the ice as we may have thought.
I did however think, that early in the season some teams (especially good ones) may take us for granted and sure enough some of our best games have been vs the better teams. Chicago game was the only game i can remember where it seemed we werent on the ice.

Prob Lias is a better player right now, so that will be factored in.
Are we sure lias is the better player right now?
For one Chytil is playing better then his point totals say he is. Also lias is off to a great start so far in the ahl but will he put up good numbers in the nhl? This is nothing against lias I prob like him more then Chytil, but we dont know yet

True but i think Toronto wouldn't have had the Nylander issue if they let his contract slide that first year of 2015-2016.
True, but I think they were desperate to give the fans a "reason" for wanting to come out and watch that team play. Same as we may want to see the likes of Chytil, LA and Buch. Eventually becoming our support group of our "studs". :sarcasm:

I wonder if Shattenkirk continues to not play on the main PP unit if he will ask out. He's basically useless if he's not on the PP.
