What was the verbiage? That’s quite the change in philosophy from when he first took over.
 
It'll give me something to keep me watching. This season was rough. Found my viewership way down. I went to one game that was early in the season, against the rangers. Wild won it in a shootout. Great game.

I'm sure they'll swap Foligno and Ohgren though.

But I also saw comments saying that he probably won't play because Guerin gave contracts to Johansson and Gaudreau and he's to stubborn to admit they were bad contracts so they'll play even if Ohgren deserves it more.

The thing that is going for him is that he brings something completely different than MoJo.
MoJo is a little one-dimensional and is on a down trajectory.

Ohgren has a better style match with JEE/Boldy, playing a power game, than MoJo. Plus, while slower, he plays at a more similar speed with the other two. If MoJo used his speed to create space and enter the zone, that's one thing, but he doesn't.

The staff just needs to get their trust behind Ohgren and if that takes a few games on the 4th line, so be it. But I think his style, versatility, and shot-first mentality all works in his favor over a one dimensional MoJo.
 
Funny, but I think that Ohgren is going to be the next MoJo. The latter is a better skater, the former shooter.
 
Funny thing is that you could just as well spell his name with an "Z" or "E" or "M" or whatever letter first, as the letter "O" has nothing to do with how his name is really spelled.
Ö is a completely different letter than "O" and is not pronounced the same.
Öhgren it is, not Ehgren, Zhgren, Mhgren or Ohgren.

I like Xhgren, X feels like the meanest letter, it'll incite the most fear

Well, XGrins Dad is a trainer, soo.... Lauko sure doesn't look 6'1" to me, but maybe he has a hunched over skating style.

57 is correct. Ohgren & Mojo skate very similarly. Their gait/stride. They player very different games but definitely resemble each other

I disagree with the overstatement. I think the differences in their game make distinctively players than the skating styles make by similar. And both being Swedish.

They are both straight-line skaters, sure. But Ohgren is much stronger, plays a power game, is noticeable strong along the boards, willing to set up in front of the net, will shoot from any angle, has a very powerful shot. Can play both PP and PK.

All the things MoJo can't do.
 
I thin k that we are underestimating how difficult it is to have a career like MoJo's, which has been long and relatively distinguished. At the age of 20, Ohgran had 2 pts. MJ, 27. Age 21, MJ 46 pts. Ohgren isn't even a sure thing to make the team.

Did you not notice that Ohgren only played four games in the NHL last year during which he got two points?

Ohgren didn't turn 20 until last January, so from a hockey perspective last year was his 19-year-old season. He was still junior eligible.

He is about to enter his 20-year-old season, albeit at an older age (by nine months) than Johansen was when he was in his 20-year-old season.

By the way, if you want to compare comparable seasons, you can use their 19-year-old seasons during which they both played in the SHL.

Ohgren, 12+7/19 in 26 games
Johansson 10+10/20 in 42 games
