Deadpool movie trailer is out:

I'm excited, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if FOX dropped the ball big time. At least it isn't PG13.

Curious, are Ryan Reynolds and Ben Afleck the only guys to play 2 superheroes?

Just a little rant about the recent movies. Why can't they keep the cinematic feel more "classic"? I mean, freaking CGI 3D rotating views of an actor/object/sequence. What the hell is that?

I've been watching "older" movies in the past few months (like Apollo 13, which is a perfect exemple) and they're looking insanely better and more real than the current blockbusters. All that thanks to real cameras shooting real objects on film with simple yet beautiful angles.

Anyone else agree?

with madmax, and apparently the new star wars, i think we are (finally and thank ****ing god-fully) seeing a return to more physical, real effects. CGI is far too overused and for the longest time it has either been a penis measuring contest (jar-jar) or a crutch for **** scripts (transformers, every single superhero movie, too many to name). remember when they were making the latest indiana jones and spielberg and lucas both assured the audience that it was gonna 'old school' with not much CGI? well, the first sequence looks like a bad computer game...

im ranting, but hopefully that era is now fully behind us

I might be in the minority but Ballers has been great recently. The characters are good but the music is on point. The music selection on the show impresses me a lot. Ricky has to be my favorite character. The guy is hard to hate no matter how much of a ******* he is.

There's many reboots I totally don't get. Like, why in the sweet hell a producer or director would want to re-do a movie the exact same way it was done less than 10 years ago?

My god, I don't think I've ever seen a scene that moved me as much as the closing one of Mr. Robot's last episode. That show is something else. Just when you think it's reached the absolute heights it can - it takes one more leap. Can't recommend it enough.

I got 5 minutes into part 1 and shut it off. Maybe I should have given it more of a chance?

Fantastic 4 looked like absolute trash in the trailers to begin with. Not surprised at all.

Hopefully this leads to Fox giving back the rights to Marvel down the line.

It's like this, the same thing happened with FF that happened with the Spider-Man reboot, they lie about "having a great idea to modernizes the concept!" but when it comes down to it, there's nothing that is particularly fresh or original and it actually look half-finished. The reason is this: it's Fox and Sony rushing a movie to the screen the quickest way they can in fear of losing the movie rights to Marvel. All it does in the case of Sony they end up tarnishing Spider-Man and in the case of Fox, it looks like they'll lose a lot of money from FF. So there's no point about being this obsessed at keeping the rights. Hell the FF just don't have the appeal of the X-Men to begin with.

What's crazy is that looking at the trailers, the effects look dated. No improvement on the fire effect of the Human Torch from the other FF films and Thing looks strangely like a human turd, a left-over from the Absorbing Man from the first Hulk movie that came out in 03.
