Never seen anything like "Barry". This is one of the best shows I've seen in the last couple of years.

It's like two different shows in one that can't coexist yet they do in a constant struggle with one another. Some transitions are ruthless. Human brain isn't meant to adjust like that. Didn't realize Bill Hader had this kind of a directing talent. I am now a fan of his.

I highly recommend this show as well. I have to admit though, Hank is my favorite character on the show.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Condor on SuperChannel. It's a series based on the novel and film "3 Days of the Condor". Lots of action and intrigue and a good cast. Can't rate it yet, but I'd recommend a look.

The only show I sort of compare it to is Saul.

I’ve watched it three times. It’s amazing.

The closing scene with Hank last week was perfection.
Tried to get into Saul and just didn't do anything for me. I'm sure its great, but the pacing is just way too slow for me at this point in time. I'm going to revisit in the future when I'm ready for that type of show, but right now I just can't do it.

Sometimes I think shows like Saul and The Americans became a little too self-aware about being a “slow burn”. It’s like they wanted to see how far they could push it.

I’m a big fan or both shows, but there are times where I thought they were just messing with us.

I think for Better Call Saul, they really focus on a character development, so they have to show all the things that happened to Jimmy over a long period that will transform him from good guy to that shady lawyer. It's based over the 6 years prior to him representing the top criminals.

I enjoy the development. I believe the original plan was to transform him much earlier, and I think it’s been really well done.

The times I eyeroll a little are when they show Mike setting up some surveillance trick for 15 minutes. It’s always well done, but we only get 12 episodes or whatever a year. It’s fully possible they are saying “you think our show moves slowly? Try this...” and I respect that.

Saul is flat out one of my all time favourite shows. It has a unique tone/texture, and I think it’s richer than Breaking Bad. As I said a few posts ago, Barry is the only show that hits me in a similar fashion.

Louie and Baskets are other shows that really resonated with me. I think they were very accurate depictions of people who are lonely/isolated/unhappy/slight misfits.

Meh. The fact that they plan to bring Palpatine back is almost stupid. Feels like they don't know what to do with their story

Just an idea, but I think like the “good” Force ghosts, Palpatine may had found a way to continue on as some sort of ghost/presence as well. I think Snoke may had been a character possessed by Palpatine and now that the physical body is dead, he moves on to the next.

Just saying this since Johnson just killed Snoke off and I’m guessing this threw a whole wrench into the trilogy plans. I don’t know if Lucasfilm mapped it out the way Marvel did with their MCU.

Recently watched Dunkirk and it exceeded my expectations. I dont think I've seen a war movie that fully represented the horror of early 20th century war as well. Solid 9/10.

Also watched Blade Runner. It was good, very good even. The visuals were stunning. The meta communication was well done. You feel the culture of the setting and Villeneuve understands society and mankind well. That said, I felt there were too many times the movie seemed to plagiarize previous films. I have a feeling Villeneuve is a fan or Children of men, notably.

People are already saying that Palpatine is also a ghost. We would see him for 5min and poof, he's gone.. aka "how to win back fans with nostalgia again"

I'm pretty sure they tried to map it... but at the same time, they tried to milk it too. There was already a plan to make a new trilogy after this one but without following our new set of heroes. I'm pretty sure it would have followed the young stable boy that gets the Rebel ring in the Last Jedi. I would believe that the story they made for that movie was pretty much what they intended to do. The fans just got pi**** for so many reasons and now they are trying to redeem themselves somehow. That teaser doesn't even make me wish to watch that movie. (I'll still do anyway). There are already so many things that doesn't make sense.

Are we seeing a Death Star on a sea? How the **** did it crash on a sea? The Return's one should have crashed in a forest. Even in a New Hope, I don't believe there was something that looked like a sea on Yavin IV.
Why is there a "Tie Fighter", alone, flying at a low altitude and Rey is there, also alone, waiting.

*sigh*

I'm already getting mad and the movie hasn't came out yet lol.

I agree. I think it's my favorite show as well but there are times where I feel they're pushing to fill in an episode quota.

I tried Barry, looked very appealing to me but I just couldn't really commit so decided to stop early and give it a try some other time.
Definitely wanna give it another shot..feel like it has great potential.

I’ll just have to assume they’ll explain everything, lol.

If that was the second Death Star, the forest would be flattened as a big chunk of the station hitting the planet would be an extinction level event. Of course, doesn’t explain how they were partying it up at the end of RoTJ unless you got chunks of space station floating around in orbit and it smashed into the planet after the Rebellian left. Hopefully this means no more Ewoks...

The solo Tie Fighter I can only assume is Kylo. Obviously, his hubris is getting the best of him as it would be easier to just shoot Rey than to try to run her over.

I have enjoyed the new trilogy but they are dipping back into the well too much with old characters and centering the story around Luke somehow. I really liked Po as a character as well as Finn, but I think they wasted opportunities. I don’t find Rey particularly interesting.

Anyhow, this movie should close out the Skywalker story. If they continue with new stories, hopefully they can do it right with new characters.

Blade Runner should not have been made... absolutely awful.

I hope the rest of this season picks up, the show is so dull these last couple seasons. I feel like they can't write a character that doesn't f*** or fight.
