Arnott in his prime was a load.

Arnott at age 39 made Trevor Gillies look like a professional speed skater

This is when Smith started getting his Neil The Deal moniker. It worked out in the end because Nicholls was pretty good for NYR and all of Amonte/Weight/Nemchinov were homegrown replacements who could score, but yeah, Sandstrom and Granato were great for the Kings for a few years.

I was way too young at the time but it must've been super frustrating as a Rangers fan as they were a very good team in the late 80s/early 90s but you had the North Stars with Gagner, Tinordi, Dahlen going to a Cup Final in 91 even as huge underdogs, Chicago in 92 when Roenick could have been a Ranger if Esposito doesn't trade that pick for a coach who he fired a year and change later, 93 seeing the Islanders in the ECF, Montreal back into another SCF and win against Sandstrom/Granato/Millen/Hardy.

One day at the rink I played at, I see my parents talking to this guy, laughing, having a grand old time. He turns around and I realize it was Normand Rochefort. My parents had ZERO clue who he was. He was such a nice guy. His kids were significantly younger, but our practices and his kids were always at the same time, so we became rink friends. Great guy!

Petr Sykora

That 2005-2006 season was so much fun. Straka - Nylander - Jagr were dominant. It was a shame #68 got injured during that ECQF series vs. NJD. That sweep still angers me.

I think he had a bum knee that did him in ? He might have also played in one AS game as a Nord .
