Crap - I guess I misunderstood how he said it. Sorry.Pagnotta was talking his trade list. He can block a trade to Toronto.

took a long time before they got to Pesce at the 20 minute mark.....Crap - I guess I misunderstood how he said it. Sorry.
What are they trading for Karlsson?Kuz @ 50%
Nylander for Pesce
Caleb Jones for cheap
Skjei for futures
Bunting - Aho - Nylander
Svech - Kuz - Jarvis
Turbo - KK - Necas
Marty - Staal - Fast
Noesen
Slavin - EK
Orlov - Burns
Jones - Chatty
Looks good on paper.
Probably the Skjei futures and our own draft pick(s)What are they trading for Karlsson?
Don’t mind Kuznetsov, stinks that he’s more of a setup guy than a scorer.
Back when he was the beat reporter, yes.Has DeCock actually gives real information on anything before?
News and disturber seems very disconnected from the team
not wrong on the last point, but as pointed out above when Luke was the beat guy he was reliable.Has DeCock actually given us real information on anything before?

Not really what anyone wants to hear, but sounds like nothing is coming up anytime soon according to DeCock:
-No contact with DeAngelo’s agent so far, seems like the Orlov signing put their eagerness to complete the trade on ice
-May look to add a depth D - makes sense with them not really adding any depth D on 2 way deals w/o an affiliate. If you could get a Caleb Jones type for leage minimum, might not hurt
-Still monitoring Karlsson, difficult trade to pull off
-No urgency, yet, to deal with Teravainen, Pesce, Skjei or the Aho extension
Easy, Pesce keep (give yourselves all year to extend or own rental), Skjei tradeSo why did Waddell basically confirm the TDA trade was still happening on July 1 if signing Orlov caused them to back off?
Something is f***y. Either they think they’ve got Karlsson in the bag and are just hunting for a way to clear cap or everything has fallen through and they have no idea what to do with Pesce/Skjei.
I guess Rizzo attending at Canes development camp may have caused some delay beyond the initially reported July 9th plus there was lots of other moving parts to both teams' off-season, and then on Jul 5th a new door (the 2nd buyout window) was opened for PHI when Cates filed for arbitration. Then Cates got signed on July 10th meaning that Tony could be bought out between July 13th to 15th.So why did Waddell basically confirm the TDA trade was still happening on July 1 if signing Orlov caused them to back off?
I definitely think it's the latter. I think we are left holding the ball and are not sure what to do now.So why did Waddell basically confirm the TDA trade was still happening on July 1 if signing Orlov caused them to back off?

Thing is, the Canes don't HAVE to do anything with Pesce or Skjei. If they really want to go for the cup, they can keep both as "own rentals".So why did Waddell basically confirm the TDA trade was still happening on July 1 if signing Orlov caused them to back off?

TDA is ded bro accept itStill stay we stop f***ing with karrlson land tda and move on
Can EK also, for the love of all that is good and holy, also just be ded?TDA is ded bro accept it
Agree. I'm still holding out hope that the EK interest is just leverage in Pesce negotiations. Keep Pesce on a mid/long term deal and trade away Skjei or keep him as own rental and have a stacked D this year with him or Orlov on 3rd pair. EK is not a long term answer at RHD (and a risky short term option too) and with Burns being old and Morrow a question mark in the pipeline we really should be keeping Pesce long term. LHD is set with Slavin a career Cane most likely and Orlov then Nikishin in place. Can EK also, for the love of all that is good and holy, also just be ded?
Asking for a friend.
I think if Drury wants a trade him in a deal for Kuz at 50% worksThing is, the Canes don't HAVE to do anything with Pesce or Skjei. If they really want to go for the cup, they can keep both as "own rentals".
Right now, we have the following:
Bunting-Aho-Jarvis
Svech-KK-Necas
TT-Staal-Fast
Martinook-Drury-Lemieux-Noesen
Slavin-Burns
Skjei/Orlov-Pesce
Orlov/Skjei-Chatfield
Coghlan
Andersen, Raanta
By burying Kochetkov, the team has $3.6M in cap space to make another move. If they choose to make a move, they can gain another ~$800K by burying/trading one of Coghlan, Noesen, Lemieux or Drury leaving then with $4.4M.
This team, on paper, is BETTER than last year's team that had the 2nd best record in the NHL and made it to the ECF last season.
