Let’s talk about: Jason Robertson (EDIT: 1st Dallas Star to hit 100+ points in a single season)

Doesn't really have the same defensive acumen. Offensively it's a pretty good comparison though.

He's certainly not bad defensively though. Getting better every game and making some really smart plays in the D zone

Yea but Stone is Selke level. Robertson is highly unlikely to ever get to that level.

It doesn’t really matter since their offensive games are similar enough.

Best comparison for me is Luc Robitaille, who was not a good skater but thought the game at another level.

Jason Robertson is going to take calder. He is in amazing form and has caught Kaprizov. At the end of the season this will be clear.

He should be top 3 and "nominated" at least but win it ? I don't know . Stars aren't usually on the guys watchlist who vote on the trophy . ( Wild aren't either but Kaprizov had more hype )

Has Jason Robertson transformed the look of his team? If the answer is no to that question, the answer to your assertion is also no.

I think it's very well possible, unless Kaprizov picks his production up again. Last 5 games have not been great in that regard. Still mostly looks the part, but numbers haven't been great lately.

that would be pretty neat. Unheralded coming into the season and he's been one of the best Stars players and had a great start. After all the megahype Kaprizov got early on it will be tough unless he overtakes him by a considerable margin in points.

I believe Robertson can be very astute defensively, not Stone or Selke level but just under that, yeah.

Also another 2 point night tonight, giving him 32 points in 38gp this year

Yes. It is. The most proficient player in his first year.

Robertson very strong rookie season is the reason the Stars still have a realistic chance at a playoff spot despite playing without the #1 goalie #1 center and #RW for the whole season
