We definitely need another starting caliber goaltender.

We should look at moving Kerfoot to free up cap space to provide roster flexibility. I prefer Engvall as a 3rd line centre and Kerfoot won't cut it as a top 6 winger.

We should try to add another depth defenceman.

If the cost is reasonable, a top 9 power forward.

Another depth Dman like say Mikko Lehtonen? :wg:

Two weeks ago some wanted noone moved cuz we were doing so well
The normal cycle of wins and losses reminds me of the stock markets. Everyone knows you should buy low and sell high, but in real life most people want to do the opposite. When markets cycle down they want to sell low, and when they naturally cycle back up they want to buy high.

I don't know that the midst of a losing streak is the best time to make long-term personnel decisions.

It might be better to hit the videos and the practice ice, and work things out with what they have instead.

Even Freddy, Hutch, Campbell and the new guy between the pipes. Maybe one of them can stop a few pucks and not let in two out of three.

The team has a .866 save percentage over the last 6 games, it's pretty obvious to me what needs to be addressed. It's probably the most difficult of course but it could easily be the difference between a deep playoff run and another first round exit. Time for Dubas to earn his money, this is an opportunity that shouldn't be wasted.

Until our big guns score more than 1 goal combined in 2 "win or go home" games (game 7 against Boston and game 5 against CBJ), we are going nowhere. It's not all goaltending.

It's not ALL goaltending. But if you have two problems, you don't have to solve them both at the same time. You can do one then the other. If goaltending and our offense both going bone dry in elimination games is a problem, solve each of them the instant you are able to do so, not in priority sequence.

imo, I dont see any incoming goalie trade, Freddy will be given one last chance ... I see a 3 rd line player incoming ... what if trading for a top goalie fails and they get bounced out in the first round again, does Dubas have any moves left or is it time for a management change again, I cant see him making a goalie trade

Sure, offence needs to step up as well but I am a lot more confident in the skaters figuring that out than I am in Andersen.

Even though it’s not a desperate need, I wouldn’t be against upgrading on Dermott.

Goaltending is absolutely the #1 area that needs to be addressed. It is no where near good enough. I don’t think Dubas will do anything about it though.

Kerfoot needs to be traded.

That Kadri guy would have been good if we still had him.

If Campbell was good to go and Andersen gets to back him up i would be good with that. There are other more minor issues with the team.
I would prefer Andersen traded. We need better depth in goal.

A guy like Kerfoot would have to go to create any kind of meaningful wiggle room. But would also create a hole in the lineup. Long story short the Leafs are in a straight jacket and this might be the group.

Dubas isn't going to make a drastic Goalie change in the middle of season. As much as I would love to see it, because I personally am not a fan of Anderson.

Regardless, Dubas needs to find his Goodrow/Coleman type of trades Tampa made last year. They also need to pick up a veteran depth D-man like Tampa did with Bogosian.

Team needs for Bangers/Crashers. An energy line that can shift momentum in a playoff game.

One of the better names to hit our teams rumor mill. Cost is the question there's also potentially packaging of players. Would you take a Forberg and Ekhlom for Nylander plus less extras.
