Draisaitl's most common linemate at ES in the regular season

18/19 - McDavid, Chaisson
19/20 - McDavid, Kassion, RNH
20/21 - Yamamoto. McDavid (45% SF% w/o McDavid, 55% with McDavid)
21/22 - Yamamoto, RNH, McDavid (45% SF% w/o McDavid, 56% with McDavid)
22/23 - Hyman, McDavid (50% SF% w/o McDavid, 58% with McDavid)
23/24 - McDavid, Hyman, (55% SF% w/o McDavid, 58% with McDavid)

McDavid is easily his most common linemate at ES, and he has had significant time with the other good Oiler forwards such as RNH and Hyman.

Draisaitl's Most common linemate at ES in the playoffs

2021 - McDavid
2022 - McDavid, Hyman (36% SF% w/o McDavid, 49% with McDavid)
2023 - McDavid, Kane (53% SF% w/o McDavid, 54% with McDavid)
2024 - McDavid, Kane, Hyman (43% SF% w/o McDavid, 66% with McDavid)

McDavid is easily his most common linemate at ES, and he has had significant time with the other good Oiler forwards such as Hyman and Kane.

ES scoring in the playoffs

2022 - 22 ES points, 15 point shares with McDavid and Plus 14 w/McDavid,
7 ES points with others and a Minus 6 w/o McDavid

Draisaitl was clearly not effective at ES without McDavid

2023 - 10 ES points, 3 point shares with McDavid and Plus 4 w/McDavid,
7 ES points with others and a Minus 3 w/o McDavid

Draisaitl was again not as effective at ES without McDavid

2024 - 16 ES points, 4 point shares with McDavid and Plus 3 w/McDavid,
12 ES points with others and a Minus 1 w/o McDavid

A bit better but still Draisaitl did not contribute positively at ES with decent linemates and easier matchups

You can easily argue that Draisaitl has never been able to carry a line consistently and/or positively in any regular season or playoffs yet.
Lmao, you're trying to hard pal.

MacKinnon/Makar is an apples to oranges situation. Go look at prime Crosby/Malkin or MacKinnon/Mittlestadt if you really want to attack MacKinnon. The whole point is two centers driving their own lines each contributing to team depth.

Obviously I agree with you about PP, but its is not half. As of typing this, it is 92:38 with McDavid/Draisaitl together on the PP. It is 299:11 total together on the ice. So roughly 30% of their total ice time together is PP time. But 68% of Draisaitls points come with McDavid.
First of all, my comparison is more than fair but it doesn't fit your narrative.

Now to your post.

It's impossible to have a discussion with someone who don't know the difference between a 5 and a 4.

In your first post you are referring to points together including PP (which I have shown you is stupid and reffered to the another superstar duo) and now you are taking ice time on the PP into account and referring to ice time 5v5...you are saying that if the ice time on PP (PP is played 5v4, so you have an advantage and you have a much better chance to score a goal in a time x than 5v5) and 5v5 would be equal, points would be equal.

You have killed math...4=5 I never had laughed so much before.

I think I know what you wanted to say, but you have done it in a very, how can I say that correctly... unintelligent way.

You should have compared points together on the PP (not time) and points % in all strength together.
But to compare PP ice time x% and All strength points x% it's like say saying my Pizza amount% from yesterday in the cooler is x compared to my refrigerator cool time x%

Before I forget it, Kaprizov is also having an MVP season so far...Drai and Kap are both in their own league atm.

Its 17 ES goals for the Oilers team with Leon on the ice and no Connor on the ice. Were both reading that differently.

Youre completely discounting that majority of ES time Draisaitl has had, has been with Hyman/McDavid.

I think everyone will agree here. You can put 2 superstars together with one bum and 99% of the time that is better than 1 superstar and two average players.

Draisaitl/McDavid/Traffic cone
Boldy/Kaprisov/Zuccarello
Drouin/MacKinnon/Colton
Kucherov/Cirelli/Hagel
Barbashev/Eichel/Roy
Barkov/Rodrigues/Samoskevich

Were all picking McDavid/Drais

Honestly, make the thread title McDavid/Drasaitl are killing it and cool, run with it. When its Draisaitl only, the obvious question is what is he doing without McDavid and the answer is the same as its been for a decade. Hes still a superstar on his own, but pretending this season is an anomaly for him is purely inaccurate.
You are not following hockey...you are living in 2018.

Drai is almost at 2 ppg in the last 4 or even 5 years with McD out of the lineup...do you know what out of the lineup even mean?
It's not his fault that McD has only missed a dozen games in this time span so we had a larger sample size.
This season he had 6 points in the 3 games without McD...and the same was in the years before starting at 2019.

He is awesome when he is the go to guy on the Oilers...give him Rantanen and Makar and he would be produce equal.

Guys, guys... Imagine Drai's stats if he was actually Tyler Bozak though.

Or imagine if he was... Teddy Purcell!
