Who will have the better career?
You have to pick, poll will close in a month.

100%. Fantilli was a better fit stylistically to play with Terry and Zegras.I still think each would've been a better fit for the other team in terms of roster construction, but neither will regret their choice for one second. As these are my A and B teams, I'm excited to watch them both develop. I decline to answer this poll.

Fantilli is like MacKinnon and Carlson more like Barkov.
Both elite players, you just have to pick your flavor. I do think Fantilli will score more points in the NHL over his career, but Carlson may drive more wins, It is hard to say and it depends on what you define as "better" for their career.
It will be funny how much the CBJ factor impacts this. You ask this a week ago and this poll is not even close.
This, exactly. As someone who has been on the Carlsson train for a while, it's funny how much people's opinions change based on what one team thinks. In April there was a poll Fantilli vs Carlsson vs Michkov. Fantilli had like 53% of the 91 votes, Carlsson 17%. And I'm one of the Carlsson votes....
If Anaheim took Fantilli 2nd, he probably would be winning this poll 80/20.
Adam Fantilli vs. Leo Carlsson vs. Matvei Michkov
This might be better placed on the prospects board but I figure why not get the discussion going here? If your team was drafting second overall, who are you picking? I think we can safely say these three are in the next tier behind Bedard. Michkov put up outstanding numbers in the KHL, Carlsson...forums.hfboards.com
C'mon people, have some conviction in your own opinions!
A lot of us prioritize watching prospects over NHL games.I don't know. I don't watch junior games and YouTube highlight packages don't give you a complete insight into the player.
I don't understand why people pretend to be experts on junior players. I can barely find the time to watch just all my pro team's games. But apparently everyone else has the time to be an amateur scout.
I dunno. Makes more sense to debate this after we see them in the NHL.
Fantilli 100%. Especially if you believe the reports they had Smith over CarlssonI wonder who Jarmo would have taken if he had 2OA...
I never took those reports very seriously. If true, however, Verbeek was a fool not to swap picks with Columbus when Jarmo called him.Fantilli 100%. Especially if you believe the reports they had Smith over Carlsson
Definitely not. Especially that high, if you like a guy then take him. Everyone is playing poker this time of year, he would have been a fool to risk losing the player he wantedI never took those reports very seriously. If true, however, Verbeek was a fool not to swap picks with Columbus when Jarmo called him.
But you are saying that Jarmo had Carlsson 4th on his list...why would Verbeek not swap 2 and 3?Definitely not. Especially that high, if you like a guy then take him. Everyone is playing poker this time of year, he would have been a fool to risk losing the player he wanted
You said it with the 1st sentence of your last post. "I never took those reports very seriously". Its a bad time of year to guess and find out its all smoke and mirrors and not get your guy.But you are saying that Jarmo had Carlsson 4th on his list...why would Verbeek not swap 2 and 3?
So we're back to the idea that it is very possible that Carlsson could have been Jarmo's pick at 2. Which makes Verbeek's refusal to swap the pick entirely understandable. You said it with the 1st sentence of your last post. "I never took those reports very seriously".
