He's really putting up points this season. Other than his skating, what do you believe he needs to improve to have an NHL future?

I think the only thing I’d say is his overall coordination. There are times where his hands and his feet don’t work together and he can look really uncoordinated handling the puck when he’s full tilt. Other than that really isn’t some clear weakness beyond the skating. Everything else lines up to be an NHLer.

He really needs to get with Bratt's guy. If that guy could improve Holtz to passable levels he should be able to get Lenni there.

Nothing really noteworthy from todays 60mins from Lenni or the rest of the team.

Next game on the 13th. A bunch of guys being banged up after tough games so a good time for the break.

Stats (& rank in league) after 19gp: 9g (tied 8th), 18pts (tied 12th), +10 (tied 8th), 60sog (tied 2nd), 6.25 xG* (5th), & 17:50 atoi

*might lag one game

Yeah I don't see a first liner or anything, but the production speaks for itself and compares favorably to some pretty good NHL players. I think it's very possible he ends up a middle sixer. Never gonna be mad about a solid top 9 winger.

Or he just never manages to translate his game to NHL speed.

To me Lenni does not strike as a top 6 NHL talent. Could be fringe 2nd liner, maybe in the 3rd.
tbh i think we need more of that. Zetterlund and Sharangovich were more like fringe top-6ers and I would be much more confident in the roster if one or both of them were still here. I’m glad Meier is here and i understand the Toffoli acquisition, but at some point it’s not sustainable to keep trading cheap young depth players for expensive older ones.

The Devils are gonna be in a good place if there are cheap rookies coming in to replace the Tatars and Haulas and (hopefully) Palats over the next couple seasons, even if they’re not necessarily contributing the same amount. I REALLY like Lenni’s chances at being one of those guys.

Question for @Juzmo or any of the other Finnish posters here.

Was there any discussion of him playing for Finland in the Karjala Cup? And if not any chance he gets to play in any of the other Europe Trophy contests?

Unlike last year didn't see anything about that. With new head coach Antti Pennanen who knows what the plan is, but obviously one would figure that if he keeps up the play, is healthy, and isn't exhausted, he could be there (like many others).
