Outside the goal that was probably the worst period I've seen him play. Had a terrible turnover that JYP shouldve scored on and looked pretty lost most of the time. JYP have been the more dominant team though. Only up from here.

Ässät are my hometown team. Played through their junior system. I watch every game. Have watched the last roughly 10 years that they've been available.

This is their gameplan this year. It always looks like an absolute shitshow the first 20-30 minutes. But they get to second period and look at that, they're up 1-0 or 1-2, they defend well, and they definitively have the best goalie in the league (Rubin). It just works. It's not pretty. But it works.

And having a ace (pun completely intended) up their sleeve like Lenni is just icing on the cake.

the kids crazy lol. this pick was the definition of whelming for me, neither exciting nor disappointing, but it goes without saying how fun its been to follow him the last couple months. even back in the summer his wjss showing, which i intentionally didnt want to put much stock into, was impressive. i think some of the comparisons ive seen made in here like future palat or jacks version of kunitz are very apt. im still a little skeptical if i think his long term outlook is truly top 6 caliber as opposed to more of a middle 6er who flexes up there, but regardless its hard not to feel really excited about him being something good. FIN side of our drafting team making up for salminen with vilen and now lenni lol
