Let's not overreact (based on that picture you put up).
I'm underreacting.

Ofcourse I will not put him above Simon and Luke, but for now, until the puck will drop in New Jersey, he is closer to be #3 best prospect.
Holtz had tough year to project, has visible issues, and its not like he was very great in SHL after draft as 200 foot player.
Gritsyuk is playing after injury, his team is build from new guys and look raw, but he isn't productive anyway now.
Casey is very fun and awesome, but for Lenny its easier to fix his main issues on his level he is playing and he is doing it. Casey is a question mark until he will play on adult level.

So yeah, its not very overreacting. Lenny is scoring goals and its not like its only a thing he is doing on the ice, he is very useful player in different situations and he is doing everything well for his future potential role.

He can hit, he retrives the puck, he closes gaps and takeaway the pucks, he understand where he should be to find or shot for the high scoring chance, he is playing toughest minutes. He was drafted this summer, he is nearly gpg\ppg player now. View attachment 745427
He has 5 goals on 21 shots, a shooting % of 28.2% is not going to last.

He should start getting some assists at some point here though.

I'm not worried about it. He is playing with partners he is playing and his role is specific. He create enough changes by his passing and by his vision overall. I'm not wanting that he will score 49 goals in 50 games, but he will got assists from his game. Stats is situational, his game - what is making him a good hockey player.

A small non-hockey thing as it's almost a whole 3 more days till the next game...

Was in the first Ässät duo to take part of a "On the same side" school tour with the aim in highlighting the significance of preventing loneliness and bullying when it comes to the well-being of the youth. Talked about their own experiences with bullying and preventing it. 200 students were in the audience listening, and asking questions about both bullying and hockey.

"Left with good feeling about the visit! Was very nice to see enthusiastic kids full of energy, which brings that same energy and joy to myself also. Preventing bullying as a topic is obviously hugely important, of which you can never talk too much about. Unfortunately it's still common, but nevertheless it's important to speak up about it so we can take efforts to prevent that. Hopefully a thing as small as that could help with the cause."

Trying to assist somewhere at least. ( :sarcasm: )

+ Something hockey related: We'll see how/if acquiring Juuso Ikonen today will impact things (such as the pp)

You name God in the Motorhead context? Because of Lemmy? Or Lenny?
I like a couple of their songs but are they having enough depth in their music to love them?
Motorhead may have not been trailblazers in terms of inherent diversity, but they were trailblazers in the fact they fuzed punk and metal in a way it had never been done before. There's no Metallica Kill 'Em All without Motorhead. Heck, there's no Motley Crue Too Fast For Love or Bad Brains without Motorhead. Moreover, Motorhead freakin' rocked.

I don't think we can judge all bands by the same standards. Sure, bands like Motorhead, ACDC and Social Distortion may have made a living banging the same few chords in repetition, but they were fun and they rocked and they made their mark in music and with millions of fans. Not every band can constantly innovate like a Beatles or a David Bowie or a later Led Zeppelin.

So, yes I'm pro-Motorhead and proud. Long live Lemmy!

Lenni Hämeenaho, RW, Ässät (New Jersey Devils)

Lenni Hämeenaho, the Devils’ 2023 second-rounder, has always been the “around-it” guy, the player who never maybe had a dynamic quality that really leapt off the page, per se, but had a way of being effective. At the World Junior Summer Showcase this summer, though, I was struck by what felt like an uptick in the number of soft skill/finesse plays he was making against his peers. And now to start the season in Liiga, he’s both all around it and making plays. That has shown up on the stat sheet with five goals (all at even strength!) and 21 shots on goal in six games, and in his time on-ice (18:09, third among the team’s forwards) from new Ässat head coach Jere Härkälä, and in the underlying data (a 55.8 Corsi For percentage), but it has checked out in his games as well.

Those are very positive signs for an 18-year-old. He’s making things happen game-to-game with his well-rounded skill and consistent effort and approach. If the Finns don’t get Joakim Kemell for a fourth world juniors, Hämeenaho may be their best player — and he’s going to have to be. He looks like a future NHLer with continued progress.

Lenni first assist of the season! Cool play from the 1st line to put Ässät to a 2-1 lead with 10min to go in regulation against the team with the best points average so far.

Just before that had a 2v1 where he passed also, but Erholtz couldn't score.

Ps. Also with Ikonen, Lenni was moved to the 1st pp unit. Nothing yet on it tho so far. That struggle continues.
