Thanks to everyone bagging his skating for weeks on end, every time I watch a clip fo him I'm very pleasantly suprised. set that bar low and then shoot past it baby.
(I actually think his skating looks pretty fine, by any standard. Won't be a burner, but if something keeps him out of the NHL, I don't think it's gonna be his feet)

Yeah, he is absolutely better skater this year than he was season ago. May be his speed isn't there, but balancing and work with the puck are on the good level. Now Devils fans are in situation where they got a player with the main issue that player immediately developing. And because his IQ/decision making and positioning were on the top level, he is looking like a top 30 player from the draft now, who absolutely deserved to be drafted in the first round. And he is playing in more competent league and its look like he will be good enough to play his role, so his stock will rise.
If he will add more speed - boy oh boy, we are talking about way more important player than middle six forward. I still think he has real ceiling to be top 6 forward even with his actual level of skills.

How long is his Liiga contract? Any chance he’s in NJ before the end of the season? This is incredible.
I am very impressed by what Lenni has shown so far, but this is still just preseason, so I don't want to get ahead of myself with excitement.
I'll be way more impressed if he is still blowing away the Liiga like this even after the regular season starts.

He signed until the end of 24\25 season, but as I remember he can try himself in NHL.
I’ve seen enough, I’m projecting him for the Conn Smythe this season and Calder next season. He might not win the Hart until 25-26, but we need to be patient with the kid.

2 years in Liiga and then 50/50 on one in the AHL before he's with NJ seems par for the course for good Finnish NHLers drafted around where he is.

Sure, every prospect is different, but most tend to move in pretty well established paths. And the ballpark for late first and 2nd round finnish guys is a couple years over there before coming to NA.
If he smashes liiga this season that could change, but I’d bet on it personally.

lol Assat scored first shift. Lenni pressured the D on the forecheck causing him to just rim it around then it got centered and they scored

Good chance off the rush but stopped by Malek. Same shift he helps create the turnover on the forecheck again and gets a great chance out front but again stopped by Malek

I'm getting kind of excited about this kid. He has a long way to go for sure, but he looks good. He has some nice tools, very good IQ.

Kid is awesome. I really like when player, especially so young, can play so competent as a 200 foot player.
