Keefe's hot seat got him finally yelling at his players like a coach.
Matthews is a beast.
Marner noticeable on a lot of plays. Credit where credit is due.
Nylander invisible other than a few moments here and there.
D was ok.
Lily was not having a good night.
Jones pretty solid.
Just one bad one but otherwise solid.
A win in a win.
I hope its enough to turn the tides

They had so many chances to bury the Flames and didn't.
For all the grief Tavares is taking here recently, especially in the D zone, I'd simply ask what the heck people are expecting him to do with Bert and Willy doing sfa. I see JT working, trying his best, tying up people in front of the net, and all I see from his wingers is stationary, very slow feet from Bert, and Willy looking to break the zone as soon as a Leaf player gets within 10 feet of the puck. This isn't saying Tavares is the second coming of Marchand, but jeez louise, he and the D are playing 3 v 5 with what the wingers are contributing.

NHL is about to announce that Team's Video crews will be included in the salary cap going forward.

Matty was f***ing insane! I thought Nylander and Marner were both quite strong too (Marner EN goof aside!), drove some primo chances, could both have had a few more points with better luck. And obviously the video room/Keefe, crushed it with that challenge.

Yeah I don't know why certain posters keep crying about him. Dude came into the season as a 3rd stringer and has posted .920 with a top 10 Goals Saved Above Expected
Yes, he's due for more bad games and goals. He won't stay .920+. But he has already done a great job holding the fort until Woll returns. And who knows....could still keep the starting job.
