Woll is part of the team. A member of the team had a great night and we won. That happened last week when Marner got a hattrick. But I guess to you wins only count when our goalies don't need to play well?

100% he is a member of the team. A 2 points are 2 points, however....

Maybe you're missing the point, if we played like that last night vs lets say Boston, Colorado, Las Vegas, do we still get the win? Woll was great but c'mon it's the Ottaway Sens. That win had as much to do with Woll playing elite as it did with Ottawa being a crappy team. Would you feel more comfortable with 1) planning for Woll to have a night like last night every game or 2) Having 19 guys play as a cohesive unit, with purpose, manage the puck, reduce the quality of shots against, clog up the middle and push the shooters to the outside and have solid goaltending?

It was an ugly 2 points, which has been the theme all season, ugly games. We are relying way too much on hoping the other team will break down and give us a chance.

My problem is we lose a game where we absolutely dominated and people are upset, we win a game where we're outplayed and people are still complaining. This site is basically for complainers, posititive people have no place here, kinda disgusting and not really for me tbh.
Even worse, when playing well there is the rather large chunk of “fans” that state big deal it’s regular season means nothing wait until the playoffs. Play poorly during the regular season same “fans,”we suck. It’s all pretty funny and sad at the same time. lol!

I watch the games and I am positive after the win because we won. I like that better than losing.
A win is great but I want to a Stanley Cup and the way we play dosnt give me that vibe..

Our team doesn't know how to play a clean game and that has never change for Years and years.

We are a very very sloppy team .

I don't know if it is Keefe or the players .

Ya happy with the win but it is how you win.

We've not been close to a cup for ages. It's been spoken about for at least 5 years that we cannot win a Cup with this core, and also the stupid amount we are paying 3 forwards. Nothing of note will happen until Tavares comes off the books. Until then, enjoy the ride and hope we don't throw away as many futures as the previous regime.

I find this team easy to root for again, now that Dubas has gone. We need rid of Tavares and one of Marner and Nylander (take your pick), and to rebuild everything else, and that will take time.

In the meantime I like cheering for the plucky underdog that is the Leafs. The previous regime made so many stupid errors that have been pointed out throughout the last half a decade. It'll take some years to right the ship, but it's exciting to see what they do.

"Following a lengthy conversation with athletic therapist Paul Ayotte, Woll lumbered his arms around the shoulders of Ryan Reaves and T.J. Brodie, who helped him off the ice.

The goaltender couldn’t place weight on his left leg and was later spotted leaving the rink on crutches."

The bedwetting fanatics like myself still boo hooing over the playoffs have every reason to be alarmed right now.

This team needs to get it together. The way they've been squeaking out wins has been an illusion. Their record is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

That's this season's Toronto Maple Leafs.

They're goal differential reveals them as a middle of the pack team. Largely the result of riding Woll's outstanding play. The results will show it sooner or later.

Whatever it was they tried to do isn't working.

Washed up defensemen, unproven goalies, and a lack of depth will do that. At this point I don't think Treliving has any idea how to fix this mess he's created for himself. If he's not popping pills and crying himself to sleep right now he soon will be.

Some of the fans already are.
I wonder If the players believe they can’t win and are playing with that in the back of their minds. Matthews watches the playoffs and knows what it takes to win, looks around the room, and subconsciously allows it to affect his play.

Remember all the times we played well and lost becuase if a goalie getting hit? Sometimes the team will have bad games. Infact they have only had a few great games and are at a 100+ point pace. They haven't played in almost a week and the Sens are playing the best they will all year.

People are looking for issues vs being happy we finally had a goalie steal one for us. I have a feeling we could go 82-0, sweeping the playoffs and people will complain that they won't do it again next year.

This place is so mentally fragile it's pathetic. Enjoy the fact we won and move on to the next one.

Every year people say how we win in the regular season does not matter. And as long as we continue to see post season success I don’t know how you can argue that.

Another goal with the 4th line on the ice against Ottawas top line. Keefe has top stop being stupid. Stop using Reaves and improve that line whether it’s McMann or someone else.
A change in coaching might need to happen to change up the script. You can’t point to any area where they are playing well and it looks like the exact same as last year when we knew by Christmas they weren’t winning. It has to affect the players.

Do you actually watch Leaf games? Or do you just look at the boxscore to see if they win and base your positivity on that aspect alone? I am genuinely asking you. I am not trying to be a smart ass. Because I just don’t see how you can be positive after a win like tonight.

Yes. I get that a win is a win. But, it’s HOW they are winning that’s the problem.

How do you not see the major glaring issues with this team right now?

Yep, the Leafs stole that game last night. Then again, I thought they played pretty well against Boston.

No one is forced to discuss the game. You're welcome to discuss the game as you like, as are others.

A win is a win….keep racking them up

I understand the concerns but considering the injuries to our D
we are still winning.

Once again…comes down to our highest paid players dominating games and they haven’t recently.

Where did I argue that?

The injuries are not too concerning. Lily and Gio are easily replaced short term and Klingberg which actually improved the D.

This thread is about the game not peoples posting style.

Why not discuss the game like everyone else instead of whining about their opinions of it?

I’m not going to judge Jones too badly. Came in cold. I’ll reserve judgment until he actually gets a few a starts under his belt. That said, hopefully Woll is ok

It’s crazy that we are playing with only half of our D which was on paper not even good enough to start the year, our core guys are not really firing right now, and defensively we haven’t looked good yet, and we are still, at Dec 8th, sitting 7th in the entire league by points percentage.

If we win both our games in hand, we could be 2nd in the Atlantic and just 4 points back of the Bruins for the division lead.

I might be a minority but I think the Sens are actually a talented team. Underachivers for sure. But i think they are a good team , play Leafs hard and not surprised the Leafs don't dominate, if not got a bit lucky. Quite a few Marlies around these days.

Happy we won, but getting thoroughly outplayed by Ottawa and losing Woll kind of kills the positive vibes.

Really hope Woll isn't out for long... but it didn't look good.
