There is no world in which Rielly is going to be a healthy scratch. He tends to I'm fact be one of their better players once the playoffs come.
Not last year against Boston. He was awful. And he gets paid $7.5M to play well in the regular season too. If he was such a playoff warrior and an actual first pairing defenseman, he would have won more than 1 playoff series in his 12 year career.

Oh man. Healthy muzzin was a monster.

He would crush people and score big goals and shut down.

Muzzin was our best all round D man since who knows when. The 15 games of leetch we had?

Jake had an 8 goal last year for us which is about double what Muzzin averaged for us. Muzzin could lay 'em out, but so can Jake. Love them both, but if Muzzin is better, it's not by much.

Here’s a shot of the stick rack. I just remember it being more of a forward friendly length whereas a lot of the other Dmen on the team had the extra length for defending. Look how much longer Gio, McCabe and Muzzin and then Rielly’s beside Tavares.

No idea about his shot, but when I think of guys like John Carlson, John Klingberg, OEL, even Jake Gardiner, they seemed to have whippier shots and long defensemen sticks. I have a Kaberle pro stock at home and it’s short too.

With Rielly, visually it looks like his stick is too stiff or something when he shoots it. It just looks weird.
His stick worked pretty good the year he scored 20.

I guess after that quasi-outburst of offense, it's low odds that we see Minten slot in on Saturday. I'd like to see Minten in for Dewar with Holmie moved down to the 4th.

Did Dobes come out of nowhere, or was he a highly touted prospect (that I have never heard of)?
I don't follow their prospects, this is what I got:

First night using the updated site on my phone. Much wose imo. Things I used to be able to do in 1 "click" now take many "clicks". Will get used to it, but UX experts should have more of say than they do.

Uhmm.m... Obviously trying to be very positive, given the win and the losing streak halting.......

But our boy OEL better be buying the boys dinner, after the Core saved his azz tonite!!! He woulda been wearing some pretty big goat horns after this one.

Yeah, maybe he likes less flex in his stick so it doesn't affect his passing ability which he's very good at. On the Powerplay he takes a lot of stationary shots too, instead of stepping into them immediately after the puck is passed to him. It seems he's always looking to pass first and then decides to shoot after the fact. He seems to fare better on 5v5 when he pinches and just shoots on the fly.

As I was watching today, I thought to myself that Rielly was using a different stick than he has recently and that it was a bit shorter than normal.
