Actually, I'm still all for giving him a chance but he's only got like an Enroth 5 game window to impress before he gets Enrothed outta here. Dubas took a gamble on him and he better perform.

That's interesting. Since Matthews has now played 3 career NHL games on a line that didn't include Zach Hyman. Those games must have gone terrible for him since Hyman wasn't there to get him the puck.

Why he is exactly right... if he can play like Hyman with more skill he would be a great winger. The crap Hyman takes from fans is crazy. He was real good again tonight.

just remember this is the same lot that were clamoring to trade/waive Freddie after his poor start last year. its what happens when the bandwagon gets full. The fickle fans come out in force and want every game won 5-0 or 3-1 otherwise its this team sucks the goalie sucks our defense sucks. what you got tonight is 2 teams that just opened up a season and had a quick back to back on Canadian thanksgiving weekend. we have seen it before and we will see it again
Sparks needs to be better and after watching him with the organization over the years he can be, its no different then when mac got lit up by the jackets last year and everyone was saying the same thing. or it might have been 2 years ago. point being its not what he did this game its the next game and so on.
What you got tonight was one hell of a entertaining game which you wont see replicated all year. but lets bitch and moan instead of enjoying a good old throwback game. it was sloppy the ice was shitty at times but the skill and back and fourth action made it extremely fun and entertaining to watch.

can we have one gdt/pgt with out the sky falling. not a f***en chance

It was one game and Sparks actually kept them in it during the 1st period, so it could have been a lot worse.

4 he was completely screened and the shot went off the post and in. 6 was tipped.

I'm just a guy who lives on planet earth where Sparks had a bad preseason and a bad night tonight and has never been good in the NHL and is already 25. Those are the facts, feel like the people blindly arguing against them are probably the ones with the agendas.
Again, I really don't care, I don't think Sparks will sink this team, I'm not at Dubas' throat about letting our ancient journeyman backup go, I just don't think the pro-Sparks camp has ever made a good argument.
