Howabout AHL goaltender of the year? Give him a chance and relax. He is still young, and there is one guy who didn't choke in the playoffs, and it was Sparks.

Are you his Dad? Not being facetious, genuinely curious.

Q:What has he done to show he's an NHL goalie?
A: Howabout AHL goaltender of the year?

Yaaaaa, we're done here.

I heard my dad swear for the first time today, in reference to Sparks' goaltending abilities.

How the hell do you give up two goals in the last minute just because they pulled their goalie?

And I swear to GOD, can Babcock PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE spend 90% of the next practice going over how to carry the puck out of our own end without firing it to center ice and praying for a miracle?
Lol, I swear at least 50 times a period watching the Leafs defense play hockey.

Being one of the best goalies in AHL history leads me to believe he can be a good NHL backup. He just can’t be successful at the NHL level when the Leafs play terrible defensively. Few goalies in the world can.
There are plenty of great AHL level goalies who never make the jump. No correlation there.

It was his first game this season. Yup, we are done here. He is our backup, not our number 1. Relax bud.

Agreed, not too many goalies go from jr to the NHL. Usually they play in the AHL. So if you are the best goalie there chances are, you are NHL ready.

Was Sparks that good or did the Marlie D make him look that good. That is the question.

Which of these goals against was Sparks at fault for? I could maybe blame him for the third and 6th goal. Don't think he had much of a chance on the others.

Matthews was on a 328 goal pace after 1 game in his rookie year. As much as I don't want to admit it, Matthews and Tavares will cool down and we'll need Kadri to step up. That line isn't working right now and I'm willing to bet it only last's a couple of more games before it gets changed up. I'm not worried about Kadri, I'm worried about finding him someone to play with, without screwing up our top 2 lines. Nylander needs to come back, even though I'm not happy with him right now.

FYI, Kadri went 20 games without a goal last year, yet still managed 33 goals. Just thought I'd remind people who are freaking out that he hasn't scored so far, 3 games in.
