I think the reactions aren’t wrong even though the results ended in the leafs favor.

Montreal could easily have been up 5 or 6.
That goalpost would have made it 4-0 and the puck went right to mcmann.

Woll had a chance to go for the Eng, would have been epic. Oh well. How did Montreal win 8 of 10x, they are brutal. And Montembeault actually made a bunch of great saves and still gave up 6, just no defensive help at all.

They're playing with fire here for sure... in the short term you take all the wins and points in the standings, party win in the third, stick it to the Habs, but it just reinforces a lot of the up and down bad habits they've always had.

Woll looked like Patrick Roy back there. For letting in three goals he was spectacular.

McMann and Willy show why there is a glimmer of hope when they play a strong, heavy driving game, both of these guys are horses with the puck. It's like glue on their sticks as they use speed and force. This will be needed if the Leafs expect to surprise anyone in the playoffs.

Patches and Knies both have a willingness to get to the front of the net. Also needed.

Once the game was 3-0, what percentages of such games would end 7-3 for the team that was down? A quarter of a percent maybe? Woll was the reason the Habs didnt get more because they did deserve it. The D were strong in their protection of Woll when he battled.
