The funny thing is that one turned out bad but was likely accidental. It was high chest height but McDavid was shoved from behind as it was happening and fell into it. Garlands head is chest high maybe

That whole thing was McBaby having a tantrum at the end of a game and sticking guys and then falling into a chest-level stick when he got bumped.

Hyman also had a worse cross-check on a Canuck - that was intentionally to the head - on the same play that received zero supplemental discipline.

The whole thing was an exercise in the league making a public display that teams aren't allowed to touch McDavid no matter how much dirty stickwork he pulls and how much he hides behind his teammates.

Re-watched the last bit and yeah the refs lost control - they let the Bouchard play on Pettersson go and then let Garland get away with interference.

But all the rock eaters saying good for McDavid taking things into his own hands - l m a o. He could've done that without the headshot - that's a bitch move.
