Post-Game Talk: Leafs win 5-4 OT

Holl just didn't play defense on the ROR goal. Sammy was swimming a bit more than before. Think it is just rust. Personally, I think Sammy is the type of goalie that needs to play regularly to be at his best. Tandem with Murray might work too.

So….I was expecting nylander to slow down a bit

Looks like dude either wants to get paid or just figured out what consistency means

Something he said and did before the season started to weigh on my mind.

He said he was switching to a tinted visor in the hopes it would help him deal with a migraine issue he has had. I don't get them, but anyone who does knows they can be crippling.

Could it be that he is no longer suffering and is just able to go out every night and play?

Well if that’s the case then thank god for tinted visors.

Whatever it is, we are seeing a nylander who is more engaged, and producing more than ever

Starting Kampf in OT worked again :laugh: I mean playing bit to lose in that situation is risky, but if it helps settle the team in OT why not

I liked the aggressive north/south pushes in OT rather than their casual play. More aggressive

Very impressive game by Jarnkrok, particularly his work on the shortie.

Nice to see JT finally score (good work by Mitch).

A bit surprised at how easily Willy blew by Tarasenko. And that goal looked too easy.

I'm not someone who follows off ice stories but tonight I read that Wes McCauley is the brother-in-law of David Frost. Knowing that there is weird history between Danton/Keefe and Frost, could this be the reason we get consistently jobbed by McCauley? The league should be looking into this.

Entertaining game and good to see them being able to outscore some shaky goaltending on the road (though to be fair Samsonov made a few great saves too).

But still scary as hell to see how easily poor/biased officiating can shift the flow and outcome of a game.

Like soccer, I firmly believe the Nhl, Nba, Nfl etc are rigged ( Actually I own s book titled "Rigged" about Soccer that goes into great detail/proof of how its been done over the years). Bettman controls the Refs & can have penalties called on demand. I am losing faith in hockey results....sickening.

Our overall defensive game has slipped a bit in the last few games

As far a Sammy he made some big saves last night to .

The Winnipeg starter let in 2 worst goals than Sammy did ..
The Rangers started wasn't that good last night either.
I agree with you he needs to play every other game .

I don't agree .
I think Bettman and Roger's would like nothing better than to have the Leafs win the cup.
The amount of money going into to the shared revenue would be crazy.
Some refs suck
A Winnipeg player got carved up last night as well.
