With Tampa's loss in regulation....looking more and more likely that we're finally getting home-ice advantage after what feels like forever (I don't count last year).

If we don't take advantage this year, then we never will. Curse is a curse at that point

Solid game. Got a bit leaky but the Leafs didn't look too worried about this one.

Encouraging takeaways:

- Campbell with another solid game .. a nice stretch of steady play. Not a world-beater but he's definitely showing signs of regaining his confidence.
- Liljegren's goal just shows how much composure he's getting out there. Looking better and better these days
- Nylander is gearing into his playoff form that he was in last year

Powerplay and PK continue to roll along.

And the Spezza goal is one of my fave's on the season. Simmonds-Giordano-Spezza. Just think about that for a second and all of those guys are on this team

Willy is now PPG.

Jack seems to be settling in. Still not at the top of his game but closer than he's been in a while.

Pretty sure our shot clock guy was being a little bit generous to the flyers tho.
No kidding. That shot count seemed odd

The boys coasted through most of this one. Truth be told it seems like they're just waiting for the playoffs at this point.

A win over Tampa Thursday in regulation and they can’t pass us in the standings mathamaticly.

A win in any fashion does it because we own the tie breaker. 43 RW's vs 34.

Nvm thought we had 109 points not 108. Regulation win is required + Boston has to lose at least a point today.

Tampa loses, Florida losing to the islanders, Boston tied after two in St. Louis… The makings of a helluva night

Team battled as the game went on. Campbell played well. Good to see him looking pretty solid. Hope he can keep this going for the playoffs.

If they win Thursday over Tampa in reg after Tampa losing tonight I think they have 2nd in the division locked up and home ice at least in the 1st round.

If Campbell is back to playing anything close to like he did at the start of the season then this team can make some noise. Just seems like everyone is getting into stride just in time for the playoffs. Boston, Tampa who cares!! Feels different this year. Go Leafs Go!!

Nylanders ability to ignite a third line is a huge advantage this postseason. He is roaring out there of late, possessed...The type of talent he can be.

If Muzzin and Kase return to the lineup in full form, there isn't a team deeper and more versatile than the Leafs.

They can at least match any other team with special teams and faceoff % providing the edge.

Of course, it's about execution amd sacrifice.

That was Spezza's first goal in nearly two months. Getting him off the slide is nice. He might be good for a goal or two in a playoff series.

Also props to Simmonds for looking like he's finding another gear for the playoffs. Hopefully he can keep it up. Wouldn't be the first vet to play possum in the regular season only to step it up playoff time.

Nylander going to the third line could be the Leafs' version of the HBK line.

And Kase on Tavares' line with Mikheyev could be really good.

He can definitely be a game chsnger and forever alter the narrative with Leaf fans.

I've seen a few strong Leaf teams. Most who were successful were tough and committed but short on talent.

This team needs to realize that putting together a balanced lineup is difficult, especially in the cap era. They need to rev up for hard hockey. Prove the naysayers wrong.

Hard to find much to complain about from that game. Fair effort combined with structure, patience and competent goaltending. The Leafs did not lay it all on the line, nor did they have to. Well played.

Reminds me a little of the 2001-2002 Leafs, they won a lot of games playing just like that.

Looking forward to the road trip... 1-1-1 would be a success to me.

First leaf game I missed in a long time glad I didn’t miss a barn burner. Came to boston for the jays series but plane got delayed out of Montreal and didn’t make it to the hotel in time to make Fenway worthwhile. Going tomorrow night and Thursday afternoon, they block out the Sox in the hotel we are at so we are at a bar, no way the leafs game was getting on in the two bars I tried. They don’t much care for Toronto teams in this place yardman or yard house or similar but mostly good humoured. Looks like the leafs are on ESPN Thursday night so I won’t miss that one although after a Fenway matinee and a before noon flight it may be an adventure.
