You only have to look at the last 5 games and realize what Keefe is considering is on defence. It would shocking if he decides to scratch Liljegren with his usage. When Brodie was in the box, Rielly took his time on the PK and not Lyb.

60 is a nice number, but if they go out in the first round again it would be meaningless.

That game was hard to get up for as a fan, so you can probably imagine how hard it was for the players to put their bodies on the line to get that W.

It really looked that way for the majority of the game. Just nothing to really get my heart rate above resting.

Happy we got the W, but I don't think I met a game with so much indifference this year.

Who's game did I like....

-Lilly is turning into a top 4 guy right in front of our eyes

Lily has come a very long way. Very gratifying to witness his confidence and knowledge grow. And man that shot last night.
While I am at it. Miky and Engval....they developing in the type if 3rd line wingers that make teams successful in playoffs. With a little more toughness (no fighting but hitting) , and their skating, scoring, forechecking, penalty killing and team playing....some sight when they play that way.

Didn't notice until the isolation footage but his off puck movement in the offensive zone is outstanding, getting himself open for safe passes that consistently will make his linemates look smarter. Fits Keefe's system like a glove, I could see him being the brains to get the most out of some big fast wingers in the bottom 6.

It would always be remembered as a regular season accomplishment. Rick Vaive's three 50-goal seasons were not forgotten, and the Leafs only made the playoffs once.
